Russia, Iran, Syria . . . and CHINA are practicing the largest military war games that have ever been conducted in the history of the Middle East - - - 90,000 troops!  Yes . . . these exercises are taking place right now as you read this letter!

Of course, as usual, our press has remained virtually silent about it, which is almost impossible to believe.  How can the “news media” ignore such huge military maneuvers?

God says that that the nations of the world will send their armies to besiege Jerusalem.  And he says that he will gather all the nations to fight against his people.  But Jerusalem will be an immovable rock and those who attempt to destroy it will only hurt themselves.  The nations of  the world will be so engaged with the idea of Jerusalem that it will be to them like an intoxicating drink.

Israeli officials have asked President Obama to Israel discuss the seriousness of Iran's threats and getting "the bomb".

So . . . the big question:  Is this it?  Will these nations make war with Israel in the next few months?  Personally, I believe that this is merely the precursor to the final event.  In other words, what is taking place just off the coast of Tartus, Syria in the Mediterranean Sea is like a foreshadowing of the main incident.  The fact that Egypt allowed two of China’s huge battle ships to pass through the Suez Canal (which connects the Red Sea with the Mediterranean) so they can join the other three nations is startling, to say the least.

but in the Gulf of Mexico!    An Akula vessel loaded with cruise missiles is one of the quietest in the Russian fleet.  It cruised the Gulf waters for more than a month before it was detected.

Israel must strike Iran soon before the Iranians have nuclear capabilities!   Mahmoud Ahmadinejad  has publicly stated that once he gets “the bomb” he will destroy Israel.  Behind these military maneuvers, Russia, Iran, Syria, and China are sending a very strong message to Israel.  Here is the message: “We are united against you, Israel.  If you attack Iran, we will attack and destroy you.”

Benjamin Netanyahu, Israel’s Prime Minister, and author of the must-read book, A Place Among The Nations, is conducting weekly Bible studies in his home with some of the most brilliant Jewish men in the nation.  Pray with us that God will give this group revelation wisdom during this crucial hour in world history and end-time events.  Also, ask God that he will pour out a Sprit of grace and prayer on the Jewish people (Zech. 12:10).  The Bible makes it very clear that “all Israel will be saved” (Romans 11:26).  Could these Bible studies in Netanyahu’s home be the seeds that will produce the conversion of the Jewish nation?  We know that God’s Word is very, very powerful and it is well-able to bring about amazing results.

Keep your eye on Turkey.  There are some Bible scholars who believe that Abdullal Gul Erdogan will eventually become the Anti-Christ.  At this point in time, who knows?  Our job is to “watch and pray”, as Jesus repeatedly told us to do.  From my observation, there are not many churches praying these days.  There are a lot of busy activities among God’s people in America, but very little prayer.  And some places where I speak the Christians are not even watching.  I’m amazed at how little information church people know about the world events that pertain to Bible prophecy.  Of course, it is not totally their fault.  The teaching they are receiving is shallow and almost meaningless in light of the staggering events that are taking place right before our eyes.  However, it is our personal responsibility to study the Bible for ourselves.

If the Muslims are not killing us, then they are murdering and butchering each other.  Syria and Egypt  are prime examples.  Bashar al-Assad of Syria has slaughtered 20,000 of his own people in his attempt to remain in power.  And one million Syrians have been displaced!  The frightening thing about this is that if he is willing to indiscriminately kill innocent civilians along with the rebels, what will his wrath be like when he joins forces with Russia, Iran, and China against tiny Israel?

So these are challenging days!

Another Scripture that supports the verse at the beginning of this letter is Revelation 17:14, “The Lamb will defeat them, because he is Lord of all lords and King of all kings.  AND HIS CALLED AND CHOSEN AND FAITHFUL ONES WILL BE WITH HIM!”

Sitting in our safe Sunday School classes and church pews we don’t like to think about war.  But even more . . . we can scarcely imagine being a part of such a massive combat.  However, the Bible makes it very clear that we will have new bodies just like the Lord Jesus Christ and we will be involved.  The Lamb will defeat them because we will be helping him!

LORD MONCKTON GOES PUBLIC ABOUT OBAMA'S FORGED BIRTH CERTIFICATE

Who is Lord Monckton?

On Dennis Miller’s radio show Thursday Lord Christopher Monckton, a former policy adviser to British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher and an activist against global warming “alarmism,” went all-in on questioning President Barack Obama’s citizenship.

Monckton, the 3rd Viscount Monckton of Brenchley, hinted about his position on the issue in April 2010 at a tea party rally on the National Mall near the White House. But on Miller’s show, he said the birth certificate issue was far more important that combatting so-called anthropogenic global warming.

“I mean, hey you got a president who has a false birth certificate on the Internet, on the White House website,” Monckton said. “It’s not even clear where he was born. You’ve got a national debt which is rising into the stratosphere. You’ve got unemployment certainly here in California at 11 percent, 50 percent in the construction industry. These are real problems. You’ve got real environmental problems — overfishing, deforestation, pollution, not so much in the west but certainly in other countries. These are real problems which ought to be addressed. You’ve got poverty. You’ve got disease. These are again serious problems in Africa for instance, that we could be helping with. But no, we’re obsessed with making the rich even richer and making the absolute bankers richer still by going for global warming and cap-and-trade and other nonsenses of this kind.”

Miller protested by saying he disagreed with the suggestion that Obama has a fraudulent birth certificate. But Monckton dug in his heels.

“I don’t know whether he is Kenyan or not,” Monckton said. “The point is that if I were you, I would want to make absolutely sure that he was born here before allowing him to be elected. And the birth certificate that he put up on that website, I don’t know where he was born. But I do know that birth certificate isn’t genuine.”

Monckton firmly asserted that the birth certificate on the White House website wasn’t real, and claimed it could be dismantled with software.

“It appears in layers on the screen in such a way you can remove quite separately each of the individual dates,” Monckton said. “You use Adobe Illustrator and each of the individual dates is in its own separate layer. This thing has been fabricated. Sheriff [Joe] Arpaio of Arizona has had a team on this for six months. And he has now gone public and said there’s something very desperately wrong with this and of course nobody is saying anything because the entire electorate has been fooled.”

“I’m no birther, don’t get me wrong,” Monckton said. “I haven’t a clue where Obama was born and I wouldn’t want to entreat into the private grief behind investigating. But the point is, is what he has done on the White House website is he has put up a document which is plainly a forgery and I would regard that as a very serious matter.”

AMAZING DISCOVERY

The closer we get to the return of Jesus there will be more and more discoveries and "signs" that will alert us that the end is near.  This discovery is only one of many that once again prove the Bible to be accurate in every detail.

Stone Seal Discovery Gives Support to Samson Bible Account

“The Spirit of the Lord came upon him in power so that he tore the lion apart with his bare hands.” (Judges 14:6)

A small seal dating back over three millenniums to the 11th century BC was recently discovered at Tel Beit (Beth) Shemesh (House of the Sun), an important city during biblical times.

It dates to the time of Samson, whose wife lived in nearby Tel Batash (the town of Timnah in the Bible).

This recently discovered seal, which was found at Tel Beit Shemesh (Bet
or Beth Shemesh) and seems to depict a man fighting a large animal,
has excited discussion among archaeologists. Some believe that it is
evidence that supports the Bible account of Samson.

The seal, which measures a little over half an inch (1.5 centimeters) in diameter, is important because it depicts a large animal accompanied by the figure of a man.

Since the level at which it was found corresponds to the period of the biblical judges, including Samson, experts are saying that the artifact reflects the story of Samson’s destruction of the lion as described in the Book of Judges.

Judges 14:5–6 tells how Samson, who was a judge in Israel for 20 years, was on the way with his parents to acquire a Philistine bride when he was attacked by a lion:

“Samson went down to Timnah together with his father and mother. As they approached the vineyards of Timnah, suddenly a young lion came roaring toward him. The Spirit of the Lord came upon him in power so that he tore the lion apart with his bare hands as he might have torn a young goat.”

Later when Samson was returning to marry the Philistine woman, he saw the lion’s carcass with a swarm of bees in it and honey. The Bible tells us that he scooped out the honey from the lion’s carcass and ate it (Judges 14:8–9).

Iran, Syria, Russia and China are planning the “biggest-ever wargames in the Middle East,” named Caucasus 2012 according to an unconfirmed report on the semi-official Iranian news site Fars News.  A Syrian official denied the claims.

According to the article, the four countries are preparing 90,000 troops, 400 aircraft and 1,000 tanks for the massive joint maneuvers, which are to take place along the Syrian coast within a month.

The report states that Russian “atomic submarines and warships, aircraft carriers and mine-clearing destroyers as well as Iranian battleships and submarines will also arrive in Syria” and that Egypt has agreed to let 12 Chinese warships cross the Suez Canal for the exercises.

A little closer to home:  Russia is negotiating with Cuba to place a naval base 90 miles from Florida.

The word sodomy acquired different meanings over time. Under the Common Law, sodomy consisted of anal intercourse. In the United States, the term eventually encompassed oral sex as well as anal sex. The crime of sodomy was classified as a felony.

Because homosexual activity involves anal and oral sex, gay men were the primary target of sodomy laws. Culturally and historically, homosexual activity was seen as unnatural or perverse. The term sodomy refers to the homosexual activities of men in the story of the city of Sodom in the Bible. The destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah because of their residents' immorality became a central part of Western attitudes toward forms of non-procreative sexual activity and same-sex relations.

Romans chapter one clearly shows homosexuality as one of the farthest steps from God!  But it is not beyond the reach of God's forgiveness . . . if there is true repentance, which means never doing it again.

The official mascots of London's Olympic and Paralympic Games — Wenlock and Mandeville — have been called all of those things, but organizers are hoping to tack on a more positive title: merchandising magic.

The futuristic-looking pair have popped up all over London, casting their one-eyed gaze at tourists and locals alike from posters, statues and a slew of Olympic merchandise ranging from key chains to cutlery.

Bloggers and other commentators, however, have been skewering the duo for scaring children and projecting a creepy surveillance-state image of the Olympic games.

Wenlock — named after an English town in Shropshire that helped inspire the modern Olympic games — and Mandeville, whose name pays tribute to the hospital considered the birthplace of the Paralympic Games — look more like surveillance robots than humans or animals.

In place of a face, each have one large, staring eye — a camera, according to Olympic organizers, to let them "record everything."

They have legs, but no feet; arms bearing "friendship bands" in the colors of the Olympic rings, but no fingers. Both of their heads have "taxi light" in the middle, a tribute to London's famous black cabs.

Wenlock's head is round, while Mandeville has ridges atop his noggin. They peer out of official London Olympics snow globes, adorn backpacks and towels, decorate magnets and mugs.

Olympic mascots over the years have raised the question: What were they thinking? (Turin's humanized snowball and ice cube in 2006, anyone?) But even Sydney's spiky echidna managed to look cute and cuddly, while a barrage of critics say Wenlock and Mandeville are anything but.

"It's not so friendly," said Jenny Zhang, looking at a Wenlock while in London from China for business. "We don't see a smiling face, it's not a friendly eye. It's just watching you."

Since they were selected as the official mascots back in 2009, detractors have had a field day with the pair, questioning how faceless monsters fashioned out of "drops of steel" — the duo's creation story — won out over 100 other designs by artists and agencies.

Their watchful eyes —described in many forums as toy versions of London's omnipresent CCTV lenses — seem to have caused the most discomfort, drawing Orwellian comparisons and references to surveillance states. Wenlock figurines in police gear have come under fire from dozens of online commenters decrying the "fascist playthings" and "totalitarian toys."

Actor Ewan McGregor tweeted his disappointment Friday after seeing plastic mascot statutes in London's Regents Park: "With this country's artistic heritage this one eyed joke made me sad."

Despite the vocal backlash, mascots are proving to be an important part of the London 2012 product range, according to the city's Olympic organizing committee. It said in an email that soft toys of Wenlock and Mandeville were a "consistent best seller."

Organizers would not provide a breakdown of sales so far, but said Wenlock and Mandeville items make up around 20 percent of the total London 2012 licensed merchandise, which is expected to generate more than 1 billion pounds ($1.6 billion) worth of sales.

Despite the ever-present mockery, visitors to the mascots' official website have created more than 105,500 personalized avatars, and mascot statues in London seem to be inspiring more curiosity than criticism.

SUPER DERECHO

We were driving under this cloud formation and wondering what was going on.
I had to stop the car under an overpass because of the blinding rain.  The wind was raging at 90 miles per hour.  We did not know this storm was a "SUPER DERECHO", and that it would wreak terror all the way to Washington, D.C., leaving millions without electricity for several days.

For those who do not know . . . a derecho in Spanish means "straight".
Usually a storm like this forms one or two bows, and then straightens out. 
Although not as fierce as a tornado, it is similar to a horizontal tornado.

I was outside the car looking up at the sky when the strong wind hit.  Fortunately I did not
blow away.

On May tenth I marked my calendar.

"So what?" you might ask.

That is the day President Hussein announced that our nation (the U.S.) now condones homosexual marriages!

Any thinking person knows this is not only an abomination in the sight of God, but even animals do not engage in sexual intercourse, male/male, female/female.  Our bodies are not designed to function in this abnormal way.  When man rebels against nature, then nature rebels against the bodies of those who insist on this insanity.  The result: AIDS and death itself.

Most homosexuals die 30 to 40 years prematurely!

So when the president of a country announces publicly that he is sanctioning sodomy, the only thing left for that nation is judgment.

I have been monitoring the drought since May 10.  At this point approximately three-fourths of our country is experiencing either "abnormally dry" or "extreme drought".

THE KJV WAS "REVISED" OVER AND OVER AGAIN FOR 151 YEARS!  THEY HAD TO KEEP REVISING IT BECAUSE THEY KEPT FINDING ERRORS.  Hmmmmm!

11. What was the name of its currency? Choose any date in history and tell what was the approximate exchange rate of the Palestinian monetary unit against the US dollar, German mark, GB pound, Japanese yen, or Chinese yuan on that date.
12. And, finally, since there is no such country today, what caused its demise and when did it occur?

And here is the least sarcastic question of all: If the people you mistakenly call "Palestinians" are anything but generic Arabs collected from all over -- or thrown out of -- the Arab world, if they really have a genuine ethnic identity that gives them right for self-determination, why did they never try to become independent until Arabs suffered their devastating defeat in the Six Day War?

I hope you avoid the temptation to trace the modern day "Palestinians" to the Biblical Philistines: substituting etymology for history won't work here.

The truth should be obvious to everyone who wants to know it. Arab countries have never abandoned the dream of destroying Israel ; they still cherish it today. Having time and again failed to achieve their evil goal with military means, they decided to fight Israel by proxy. For that purpose, they created a terrorist organization, cynically called it "the Palestinian people" and installed it in Gaza , Judea, and Samaria . How else can you explain the refusal by Jordan and Egypt to unconditionally accept back the "West Bank" and Gaza , respectively?

The fact is, Arabs populating Gaza, Judea, and Samaria have much less claim to nationhood than that Indian tribe that successfully emerged in Connecticut with the purpose of starting a tax-exempt casino: at least that tribe had a constructive goal that motivated them. The so-called "Palestinians" have only one motivation: the destruction of Israel , and in my book that is not sufficient to consider them a nation" -- or anything else except what they really are: a terrorist organization that will one day be dismantled.

In fact, there is only one way to achieve peace in the Middle East . Arab countries must acknowledge and accept their defeat in their war against Israel and, as the losing side should, pay Israel reparations for the more than 50 years of devastation they have visited on it. The most appropriate form of such reparations would be the removal of their terrorist organization from the land of Israel and accepting Israel 's ancient sovereignty over Gaza , Judea, and Samaria.

MISSIONS ARE PEOPLE

Missions Are People (Or, do teenagers have anything to offer?) The Bartow family recently led a group of 30 people--mostly teenagers--from Miami, Florida to visit Jeremie, Haiti. Of course, every team brings clothing, shoes, and medical supplies for the neediest in the local churches. This team was no exception, carrying almost 60 bags of supplies. But teenagers? Really? What do they have to offer? Besides bringing some stuff for the poor, what can they do? They can’t speak the language. They are not doctors. Paint a church, maybe? There are plenty of mission trips geared to “painting walls.” This means that the ministry creates some task for unskilled laborers so that they will feel like they’ve accomplished something significant overseas. This is not Full Life Crusade's philosophy. We would rather pay Haitian laborers to “paint the wall,” since there is already an 80% unemployment rate among the people. A paradigm shift is required. “Missions” are not a project. Missions are people. We have chosen to be people-oriented, rather than project-oriented, especially when it comes time to introduce people to another culture. This can be a hard pill to swallow for the American who wants to “do something.” Painting a wall is pretty easy. Laying hands on the dying in hospitals is not easy. Building a church may be hard work, but loving an orphaned child with HIV is harder. Because of this “people” philosophy of ministry, the short-term missionaries that we take to Haiti end up with a passion for people. Over the course of one short week, we had the privilege of introducing this group of American kids to the people of Haiti. And it was wonderful. The team prayed for the sick. They prayed for people in their homes. They loved on orphans. They ministered in church through song, testimony, and drama. They took the gospel to the streets, and yes…they played basketball. Hundreds of people attended a Miami vs. Jeremie basketball game, which the Americans lost with grace and even joy. After the game, the audience converged on the court, dancing to compa music and socializing with newfound friends. Yes, it seems like an odd place for Haitian young people to receive Jesus. But they did. Because for one week, the goal of the team was simple. To love. And the Haitians responded. New believers were given Creole Bibles if they could read, and mp3 players with audio Bibles if they couldn’t read. And we didn’t have enough. There were many tears shed that last night in Jeremie as the Americans and Haitians prayed for each other, encouraged each other, and sang together. The Miami group returned home with a new passion for the lost, more compassion for the needy, and anxious to serve Jesus Christ in every area of their lives. We were blessed, as always, to be a part of the transformation of lives, both American, and Haitian.
