FIX AMERICA'S DEBT CRISIS

Warren Buffett, in a recent interview with CNBC, offers one of the best quotes about the debt ceiling:

"I could end the deficit in 5 minutes," he told CNBC. "You just
pass a law that says that anytime there is a deficit of more
than 3% of GDP, all sitting members of Congress are ineligible
for re-election.

The 26th amendment (granting the right to vote for 18 year-olds)
took only 3 months & 8 days to be ratified! Why? Simple!
The people demanded it. That was in 1971 - before computers, e-mail,
cell phones, etc.

Of the 27 amendments to the Constitution, seven (7) took one (1) year
or less to become the law of the land - all because of public pressure.

Warren Buffet is asking each addressee to forward this email to
a minimum of twenty people on their address list; in turn ask
each of those to do likewise.

In three days, most people in The United States of America will
have the message. This is one idea that really should be passed
around.
Congressional Reform Act of 2012

1. No Tenure / No Pension.

A Congressman/woman collects a salary while in office and receives no
pay when they're out of office.
2. Congress (past, present & future) participates in Social
Security.

All funds in the Congressional retirement fund move to the
Social Security system immediately. All future funds flow into
the Social Security system, and Congress participates with the
American people. It may not be used for any other purpose.
3. Congress can purchase their own retirement plan, just as all
Americans do.
4. Congress will no longer vote themselves a pay raise.
Congressional pay will rise by the lower of CPI or 3%.
5. Congress loses their current health care system and
participates in the same health care system as the American people.
6. Congress must equally abide by all laws they impose on the
American people.
7. All contracts with past and present Congressmen/women are void
effective 12/1/12. The American people did not make this
contract with Congressmen/women.

Congress made all these contracts for themselves. Serving in
Congress is an honor, not a career. The Founding Fathers
envisioned citizen legislators, so ours should serve their
term(s), then go home and back to work.

only take three days for most people (in the U.S. ) to receive

There are few weapons as deadly as the Israeli house. When its bricks and mortar are combined together, the house, whether it is one of those modest one-story hilltop affairs or a five-floor apartment building complete with hot and cold running water, becomes far more dangerous than anything green and glowing that comes out of the Iranian centrifuges.
Forget the cluster bomb and the mine, the poison gas shell and even tailored viruses. Iran can keep its nuclear bombs. They don’t impress anyone in Europe or in Washington, DC. Genocide is equally not worthy of attention when in the presence of the fearsome weapon of terror that is an Israeli family of four moving into a new apartment downwind from Jerusalem.
Sudan may have built a small mountain of African corpses, but it can’t expect to command the full and undivided attention of the world until it does something truly outrageous like building a house and filling it with Jews. Since the Sudanese Jews are as gone as the Jews of Egypt, Iraq, Syria and good old Afghanistan, the chances of Bashir the Butcher pulling off that trick are rather slim.

Due to the Muslim world’s shortsightedness in driving out its Jews from Cairo, Aleppo and Baghdad to Jerusalem, the ultimate weapon in international affairs is entirely controlled by the Jewish State. The Jewish State’s stockpile of Jews should worry the international community far more than its hypothetical stockpiles of nuclear weapons. No one besides Israel cares much about the Iranian bomb. But when Israel builds a house, then the international community tears its clothes, wails, threatens to recall its ambassadors and boycott Israeli peaches.

You can spit on the White House carpets and steal all the gold in Greece. You can blow up anything you like and threaten anyone you will, but you had better not lift a drill near Gilgal, where Joshua and a few million escaped Hebrew slaves pitched their camp.
Obama has yet to respond to the Muslim Brotherhood coup in Egypt. The gangs of paid rapists assaulting women in Tahrir Square on behalf of the Sharia state are nothing for the White House to worry about. Everyone has their standards and he and the international community have theirs. There are things that we all cannot abide. And for all the Miss America answers about ending war, hunger and people who wear plaid in public, the one thing that everyone will stand up against or sit down in opposition to is the Israeli house.
White House officials are already insisting that Netanyahu “humiliated” Obama by authorizing the building of houses. This is the worst Israeli crime since two years ago when the city of Jerusalem passed some houses through one stage of a multi-stage approval process while Biden was visiting the country.
Hillary called it an insult and spent two hours yelling at Netanyahu over the phone. Axelrod declared it an affront. Biden was so furious that he refused to come down for dinner until an hour later. For weeks the media howled that Netanyahu had humiliated Obama through the dastardly act of allowing one of the country’s mayors to approve housing while the sacred presence of Joseph Robinette Biden Jr. was intersecting with Israeli airspace.
Now that Netanyahu has gone to the mattresses, literally, by authorizing new housing, the media has begun braying that Israel has humiliated Obama all over again. They say that every time a bell rings, an angel gets his wings. But every time an Israeli jackhammer roars, Obama stands, like that famous trash-mourning fake Indian, off Highway 1 between Jerusalem and Tel Aviv, with a tear slowly making its way down one glistening cheek at the sight of another humiliating Israeli house.
According to the New York Times, which is never wrong, building more houses makes peace impossible. Peace, which is not in any way obstructed by rockets, suicide bombers, unilateral statehood bids and declarations of war, comes up against only one obstacle. The stout unyielding wall of the Israeli house. You can shell Israeli houses, bomb them and break inside to massacre the people living inside, but then after all that, Israel goes and builds more of those damn things.

Hamas shoots thousands of rockets and Israel builds thousands of houses. But Israeli houses generally stay where they’re built, while Hamas rockets are as likely to kill Gazans as they are to put holes in the roofs of those dastardly houses. And in the arms race between houses and rockets, the Israelis appear to be winning. And that’s not good for peace. If Israelis get the dangerous idea that they can just keep building houses and outlast all the talented rocketeers who spend their time with the Koran in front of one eye and the Anarchist’s Cookbook in front of the other, then what hope is there for peace?

That is why no one cares much about Hamas rockets, which only kill Israelis, who most reasonable people in London, Paris and Brussels think have it coming anyway, but get into a foaming lather about an Israeli house. Killing Israelis has never been any obstacle to peace. Twenty years of killing Israelis has not dissuaded a single Israeli government from sitting down at the table to dicker with the terrorists. But an Israeli family living in a house is holding down territory that it will be harder to then cede to terrorists.
This peace plan, which has worked as well as fighting fire with gasoline, has not in any way been endangered by two decades of terror, but trembles down to its toes every time an Israeli hammer falls on an Israeli nail in the vicinity of Jerusalem. Because that land must go back so that rockets can be shot from it into Israel, so that Israel can invade it and reclaim it, and then sit down for another peace process to return the land from which the rockets will be fired, which will be invaded, which will be given back… for peace.
And Israeli houses endanger this cycle of peace and violence. They endanger it by creating “facts on the ground,” a piquant phrase that only seems to apply to houses with Jews. Muslim houses in no way create facts on the ground, even though they are built out of the same material and filled with people. Or perhaps they create the good kind of facts on the ground. The kind of preemption of negotiations that the professional peacemakers approve of.
UN Chief Ban Ki-moon has declared Israeli houses to be an “almost fatal blow” to the peace process. It is, of course, only an “almost fatal blow” because the peace process, like Dracula, cannot be killed. Israeli houses, fearsome as they may be with their balconies and poor heating in winter, are never quite enough to kill it.
Like the monster of a horror movie, the peace process always comes back and no matter how many blows the Israeli house delivers to it, a year later there’s a sequel where the Israeli house is being stalked by the peace process monster all over again.
The army of lethal Israeli houses, which may not be built for another five years, if ever, seem formidable in the black newsprint of the New York Times, in the fulminations of Guardian columnists and the shrill talkingpointation of CNN talking heads, but its actual potency is limited to housing Jewish families and infuriating international diplomats and their media coat hangers.
Europe is furious, Obama is seething, the UN is energized, and somewhere in Tehran, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad wipes the grease out of his mustache and wonders what he could do to get this much attention. He briefly scribbles down some thoughts on a napkin but then dismisses it as being too implausible. As much as it might get the world’s attention, there is just no way Iran can put up apartment buildings in Jerusalem.

A QUESTION ABOUT HEALING

 

 

 

Today I received an email asking me a question about healing.  Here is what I wrote:

You know me well enough by now to know that I don't believe in asking questions that don't have answers.

And the people who "have the answers" really are just like the rest of us if the truth were known; they pray for terminally ill people, too, who die. But for some reason (maybe pride) they only tell the stories where healing took place (exclusionary lie). 

Over these past 47 years I, too, could tell the "healing stories" where I prayed for the sick and they were instantly and permanently healed, and make people believe that my faith is greater than most people's faith (pride).
 
But the real truth is that most terminally-ill people we pray for die. 

However, this does not keep me from praying for the sick. The Bible says "the prayer of faith shall save the sick" and "they shall lay hands on the sick and they shall recover". So 'ole Wes will
keep praying for people in need. 

If they die, they die; if they are healed they are healed. I'll continue moving forward and leave all the questions with my Wonderful Heavenly Father (actually, I'm not even asking any questions about healing), whom I trust completely and implicitly. I will never put on a clown act to try to make God look good . . . or to make myself look good. 

One of the greatest needs in the body of Christ is HONESTY. 

We would all like healing to work every time. But it doesn't!

If there was anyone on this planet who could actuallly heal the sick EVERY TIME, he would be swamped day and night with
tens of thousands of people standing in his front yard and down the street for blocks. 

The truth is: nobody is delivering the goods. Not even the big TV guys who embarrass most of us with their cavorting.

There are a lot of good talkers, but where are the people who can actually heal the sick? 

The truth is: they do not exist. And my guess is that when we get to heaven we won't even bother to ask such trivia. It will be glorious beyond imagination when we see Him face to face.

We are here for such a brief moment . . . and then we enter eternity. "It is appointed unto every man once to die, and after that the judgment." 

We might do well to concentrate more on getting people saved than on our failures as "healers".  Eternity is a long, long time. This physical body of ours begins to die at the moment of birth. 

Every type of Christian and charismatic visited our home during Primrose's nine-month fatal illness with ovarian cancer. Each one had a "special insight" and did their thing. 

But the people who really ministered to our family were the ones who loved us and wept with us. 

These are the people I will never forget, and these are the people whom I respect. They cleaned our home, did dishes, ran errands, cooked meals, loved on our children, allowed us to weep on their necks as they hugged us, and showed us how much they loved us.  They showed their love for our family by doing things . . . without any preaching.  

No . . . I do not have any questions about healing. I know that my Primrose is waiting for me in heaven and we will get to spend forever there in His presence.

These are just some of my thoughts. I hope they help you in some way.

A PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION OF THE ANTI-CHRIST

One of these days . . . soon . . . a very well known man will exactly fit the description found in Zechariah 11:17.

Many people have read this passage in a shallow, quick way and never noticed that God has given us some very clear clues to look for when this Man of Sin is "revealed".

Here is the passage:  "What sorrow awaits this worthless shepherd who abandons the flock!  The sword will cut his arm and pierce his right eye.  His arm will be come useless, and his right eye completely blind" (NLT).

The King James Version renders this verse: "Woe to the idol shepherd that leaveth the flock!  the sword shall be upon his arm, and upon his right eye: his arm shall be clean dried up, and his right eye shall be utterly darkened."

Why is the "Anti-Christ" the "Anti-Christ"?  It is because he is the opposite of Christ.  When we look at the attributes of Jesus, we easily discover what the enemy of our souls looks like.  Satan's attributes are the exact opposite of the attributes of the Lord Jesus!

In this verse we first see that the man described here is "worthless".
What is the opposite of "worthless"?

Worthy!

Who is worthy?  Revelation 5:12 tells us "Worthy is the Lamb!"  The Lamb is Jesus!

The Anti-Christ is the exact opposite of Jesus Christ.  The Anti-Christ is "unworthy" . . . exactly like this passage in Zechariah describes him.

The second thing we notice is that the Anti-Christ "abandons the flock".  Our Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, has promised that he will never leave us or forsake us (Hebrews 13:5).  He will NEVER abandon us!  But Satan uses and abuses.  He will buddy-up to you until he is through with you and then throw you on the trash heap.

The next clear thing we notice in this verse is that the "sword will cut his arm".

A sword lying on the table will not cut anyone's arm.  Someone must pick it up and physically use it to attack an opponent.

Anyone can clearly see that there will be an attemped assassination of the Anti-Christ.  But . . . it will be a failed attempt.  Whoever attacks the Anti-Christ will merely wound him . . . he will not kill him.

But the wound will at first appear to be deadly!

My guess is that the assassin will try to either stab the Anti-Christ with a knife or attempt to shoot him in the head.  The wound, entering the Anti-Christ's right eye will cause his right arm to be paralyzed . . . just as the Scripture explains.

Revelation 13:12 states: "whose fatal wound was healed."

This will be one of the reasons that people will worship the Anti-Christ.  They will think that he has been raised from the dead!

How very interesting it will be, if, in our lifetime, there is an attempted assassination of a public figure who is blinded in his right eye (expect him to wear a black eye-patch) and ends up with a paralyzed right arm!

This Scripture in Zechariah 11:17 will eventually be exactly fulfilled!

NOTHING CHANGED!  HAMAS IMMEDIATELY BEGAN USING THE GAZA STRIP FOR ITS MILITARY BASES. 

BENJAMIN NETANYAHU SAID, "IF THE ARABS LAID DOWN THEIR ARMS THERE WOULD BE PEACE.  IF THE JEWS LAID DOWN THEIR ARMS THERE WOULD NOT BE ANY JEWS."

THERE IS GREAT WISDOM AND INSIGHT IN THIS STATEMENT.

WE HAVE ALL HEARD ABOUT SAMSON IN THE BIBLE.

BUT MANY PEOPLE DO NOT REALZE THAT IT WAS THE PEOPLE IN GAZA WHO TORTURED SAMSON, GOUGED OUT HIS EYES, AND MADE HIM A SLAVE (JUDGES 16).

THE WORD "GAZA" MEANS "THE STRONG", AND IS MENTIONED 19 TIMES IN THE BIBLE.

THE PHILISTINES WERE THE DESCENDANTS OF MIZRAIM (FROM CAPHTOR), AND THEY WERE IMMIGRANTS.  THE MODERN-DAY PALESTINIANS ARE ALSO IMMIGRANTS AND NOT NATIVES OF THE GAZA STRIP.

"For when they shall say, Peace and safety, then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child, and they shall not escape" (1 Thes. 5:3). Just in from a friend in Israel:   "This is Israel Channel 2 prime time news. Our prime minister, Bibi Netanyahu is on the right and our foreign minister, Avigdor Liberman is on the left. The writing in Hebrew with white background reads: "Cease fire begins". The writing bellow with the black background read: " Siren in Beer Sheva". So it seems to me that this cease fire has a different meaning than the standard meaning. It means: We cease and they fire…. It's 1 hour and 20 minutes since the cease fire was declared and there have been 12 rocket launched into Israel already. What else can I report? Well, Thee was a bus blown up in Tel Aviv today. And 21 people were injured. Yesterday more rockets were launched towards Jerusalem, landing between two Palestinian villages near Bethlehem. The rocket count is over 1200 by now. Iron dome has been able to intercept over 400 and the other have landed, in some cases hitting homes, schools, cars, a bus, parking lots, greenhouses, cow sheds, playgrounds, factories, shops, apartment buildings, and open fields…. 2 Israeli men were killed yesterday from mortar shells in the area closest to Gaza. One is a young soldier, 18 years old. The other is a 29 year old Bedouin man from a village near Beer Sheva. The Palestinian media is excellent at promoting their agenda through exhibiting very upsetting images of injured and dead, especially children. Although you may be aware, I want to make a point of saying that although, sadly, civilians in Gaza have been killed, many of the images being used are false images. Images of injured and dead from the conflict in Syria are being presented as recent pictures from Gaza. On the other hand, the Jewish faith and world view does not worship death, but rather life. We raise our glass of wine and say: "Lehayim" (to life! ) . Also, we honor the dead and therefore do not parade disturbing pictures of our wounded and dead. Also, although there have been casualties, compared to the number of rockets fired and the places they hit, the casualties were few. I am sure that if we were able to see spiritual dimensions, we would be seeing so many angles around our southern cities and towns. On a personal level- since I last wrote I spent a couple days down in Beer Sheva, while my kids were up with their wonderful, faithful, fantastic grandparents in Jerusalem. Monday and Tuesday were days with many sirens and rockets. Since the kids were not with me I decided to venture out to try and get some things done. This meant I found myself outside during a few sirens. In one of them I ran into an art supply shop, near my home and when the booms happened the shop shook! Up on my 12th floor I hadn’t felt this shaking before. During another siren I ran into a little kiosk/ café. I stood in the back of the shop with the shop owner, his wife and daughter. Through the glass window in front I saw for the first time, the rocket flying through the sky, like a torch. When I left the kiosk a few minutes later after we heard all the booms, there were several little white clouds in the sky. These were where the iron dome missile intercepted the missile from Gaza. The picture, which I took a few minutes later, shows the top of the Beer Sheva court building, lit up by a street lamp, above and to the right is the moon. Then, higher up to the left of the moon, very faintly, you can see one of these little "clouds" of smoke." Who, like Samson, will "carry away Gaza's Gates"? Victory comes first in the Spirit realm! Even though you may live many miles from THE LAND, your faith, prayers, and intercession play a powerful part in helping to protect the Israelis. "Our Lord is greater than any other god" (Psalm 135:5)!

TWO TIMES IN JEREMIAH THE SCRIPTURE DECLARES, "I WILL APPOINT THE LEADER OF MY CHOICE" (Jer. 49:19; 50:44).

AND DANIEL 2:21 SAYS, "HE CONTROLS THE COURSE OF WORLD EVENTS; HE REMOVES KINGS AND SETS UP OTHER KINGS."

THESE STATEMENTS ARE BOTH REASSURING AND FRIGHTENING.

THOSE OF US WHO ARE BELIEVERS ARE COMFORTED BY THE THOUGHT THAT GOD IS RUNNING PLANET EARTH---AND EVEN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.

OUR FAITH IS NOT IN POLITICAL RULERS OR IN THE POLITICAL SYSTEM.  OUR FAITH IS BASED ON THE SOLID ROCK, THE LORD JESUS CHRIST!  HE CONTINUES TO RULE IN THE AFFAIRS OF MEN.

THANK GOD THAT AT A TIME LIKE THIS WE HAVE HIM AS AN ANCHOR OF THE SOUL!

Daniel lived under wicked governments, and yet he prospered.  This is hope for all of us who love God.  The government may be wicked and corrupt, but God is still able to bless his people.

"So Daniel prospered during the reign of Darius and Cyrus the Persian"  (Daniel 6:28).


BUT FOR THOSE WHO REALLY KNOW AND UNDERSTAND THE SCRIPTURES, IT IS FRIGHTENING THAT OBAMA WAS ELECTED. WE KNOW THAT GOD GIVES A NATION WHAT IT DESERVES.  AND, NATIONALLY, OUR SINS ARE PILED AS HIGH AS HEAVEN. 

OUR SINS HAVE NOT GONE UN-NOTICED TO GOD.

SOME PEOPLE WHO BELIEVE THAT THE U.S. IS BABYLON, OR A TYPE AND SHADOW OF THE FINAL BABYLON. THIS IS FRIGHTENING STUFF.  GOD'S PEOPLE ARE TOLD REPEATEDLY TO FLEE BABYLON LEST WE SUFFER IN HER JUDGMENT.

THERE ARE AMERICAN CITIZENS WHO ARE ACTUALLY PERMANENTLY MOVING OUT OF THE UNITED STATES.

I'M NOT CONVINCED THAT GOD IS SAYING TO ME, "LEAVE THE U.S." . . . YET!

BUT IF WE HAVE EVER EARNESTLY LOOKED TO HIM FOR DIRECTION IT IS AT THIS HOUR.  MANY MILLIONS OF GOOD AMERICANS ARE IN MOURNING.  MANY OF MY FRIENDS  SPENT THE NIGHT OF NOVEMBER 6TH WEEPING AND PRAYING.  THEY WERE ALMOST BEWILDERED AND FELT DESPAIR OVERTAKING THEIR SOULS.

AT MY AGE I'M MUCH MORE CONCERNED ABOUT THE FUTURE OF MY CHILDREN AND GRANDCHILDREN, THAN ABOUT MYSELF.

IF OBAMA AND HIS WICKED CRONIES IN THE WHITE HOUSE CONTINUE TO DO WHAT THEY HAVE DONE DURING THESE PAST FOUR YEARS . . . OUR NATION IS DOOMED.

WHAT CONCERNS ME MOST IS THE FACT THAT HE IS WEAKENING OUR MILITARY.
AND, OF COURSE, SINCE HE HAS HAD ABSOLUTELY NO EXPERIENCE RUNNING ANYTHING, OUR ECONOMY WILL SOON BE IN THE TANK AND WE WILL BE RATED AS A THIRD WORLD COUNTRY.

HIS SOLUTION IS TO PRINT MORE MONEY.  THE RESULT WILL BE THAT THE DOLLARS YOU HAVE SAVED WILL BE WORTH LESS AND LESS.

TRY TO IMAGINE THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA AS A THIRD WORLD COUNTRY!

PERSONALLY, I BELIEVE THAT THE GOAL OF THIS PRESENT ADMINISTRATION IS TO DESTROY OUR NATION.

BUT IT IS NOT TOO LATE!

AS WE CRY OUT TO GOD OUR PRAYERS ARE HEARD ON HIGH.  HE NOT ONLY PUTS LEADERS IN . . . HE TAKES THEM OUT.

OUR NATION CAN STILL BE SAVED.

"IT IS GOD ALONE WHO JUDGES; HE DECIDES WHO WILL RISE AND WHO WILL FALL" (PS. 75:7).

"HE WILL STRIKE DOWN MANY KINGS WHEN HIS ANGER ERUPTS" (PS. 110:5).

"THEIR LEADERS WILL BE KILLED BY THEIR ENEMIES" (Hosea 7:16).

A PROPHET FACES HOSTILITY EVEN IN THE HOUSE OF GOD" (Hosea 9:8).

RIGHT ON TIME . . .

                                    The Coming Prince

Daniel 9

Sir Robert Anderson published the book The Coming Prince in 1894.  Anderson was far from being an ordinary man.  He was Chief Inspector for Scotland Yard, and knighted by Queen Victoria in 1901.

But for some reason or another, his book was in obscurity for a number of years.  Now it has come roaring back and his books are flying off the shelves in book stores.  And rightfully so!

For anyone who desires a full understanding of Daniel 9:25, The Coming Prince is a must-read.  If you are not someone who likes to read the style of writing from the 1800’s, then just read eleven pages of the book,  pp. 119-129.

For those who do not even want to read these eleven pages, I set below a summary of Sir Robert Anderson’s thoughts on Daniel 9.

There are two key phrases in Daniel 9:25: “from the time the command is given to rebuild Jerusalem” and “until a ruler---the Anointed One comes.”

Anderson, with extremely careful calculations dates the “command to rebuild Jerusalem”: March 14, 445 B.C.

And he dates the time when Jesus presented himself as King as April 6, 32 A.D.

(It’s important to note that it says the “command to rebuild Jerusalem”, not the command to rebuild the Temple.)

The wording gets a little hard for us to understand when the Scripture says, “Seven sets of seven plus sixty-two sets of seven.”

Basically, this means seven plus sixty-two.  Any child can add 62 and 7.  It is 69.

7 times 69 times 360 = 173,880.

(360 days are the number of days in a Jewish year.)

When you do the math, you quickly discover that from March 14, 445 B.C. until April 6, 32 A.D. there are exactly 173,880 days!

(Note: From B.C. 1 to A.D. 1 is one year, not 2 years.)

When this sinks in and “the bell” really goes off in your head, you realize that when 2 Timothy 3:16 says  all Scripture is “inspired by God”--- it is actually true.  There are no errors!  Scripture is God breathed!

“The Lord our God has secrets known to no one.  We are not accountable for them, but we and our children are accountable forever for all that he has revealed to us, so that we may obey all the terms of these instructions” (Dt. 39:29).

Jesus referred to Daniel as a prophet (Mt. 24:15; Mk. 13:14).  So this settles it in my mind, at least, that what Daniel wrote in his book is dead-right-on-center accurate.

I do not believe that God just inserted some numbers because he wanted Daniel’s book to be little longer--- or that he wanted to confuse all of us ---  or that he had nothing better to do that day.  I also do not believe that the approach many “scholars” take is even intellectually based: “We will never know what these numbers mean, so let’s just skip over them.”

No!  Scripture is God-breathed!  He placed these numbers in the Bible to build our faith.  And when you take the time to think through this your faith in the inerrant Word of God will grow by leaps and bounds.

Even when you casually read the New Testament, you know that on several occasions Jesus charged his disciples that they should not make him known.

“I’m not going to this festival because my time has not yet come” (John 7:6).

“Then the leaders tried to arrest him; but no one laid a hand on him, because his time had not yet come” (John 7:30).

Again . . . did Jesus just casually say these things because he didn’t have anything else to say?  Of course not!

He knew Scripture so well (and he knew Daniel 9:25 so well) that he was aware that it was not yet April 6, 32 A.D.

But when the exact day did arrive, he made sure that he perfectly fulfilled the prediction of Zechariah 9:9.

“Rejoice, O people of Zion!  Shout in triumph, O people of Jerusalem!  Look, your King is coming to you.  He is righteous and victorious, yet he is humble, riding on a donkey---riding on a donkey’s colt” (Zechariah 9:9).

Jesus knew what he was doing that day.  A few hours earlier he had sent two of his disciples to get the donkey (Mk. 11:2-7).

And when he rode into Jerusalem on the donkey, exactly fulfilling the words of Zechariah, he presented himself as King—on April 6, 32 A.D.!  

This was precise!  It had been 173,880 days from the date of the edict of Artaxerxes Longimanus to “rebuild Jerusalem”.

If this does not ring your bell or wake you up, then you are sound asleep.

This is a faith-builder!

“ . . . they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another, because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation” (Luke 19:44).

The timing was so precise that if the crowds had not praised him, the rocks themselves would have cried out:

“And he answered and said unto them, I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out” (Luke 19:40).

“Now the great characteristic of the Jewish sacred year has remained unchanged since the memorial night when the equinoctial moon beamed down on the huts of Israel in Egypt, bloodstained by the Paschal lamb sacrifice; and there is neither doubt nor difficulty in fixing within narrow limits the Julian date of the 1^st of Nisan in any year whatever.  In B.C. 445 the new moon by which the Passover was regulated was on the 13^th of March at 7h. 9m A.M.  And accordingly the 1^st Nisan may be assigned to the 14 March.” Sir Robert Anderson, The Coming Prince, p. 123.

But do not take my word for it.  Get the book.  Do your own study.  It is only when these words resonate within your own heart that real life will arise! 

God’s Word is personal.  It is not enough that Sir Robert Anderson said it, or that I read his book and summed it up for you.  Do your own homework.  Satisfy yourself that this is Truth.
