On May tenth I marked my calendar.

"So what?" you might ask.

That is the day President Hussein announced that our nation (the U.S.) now condones homosexual marriages!

Any thinking person knows this is not only an abomination in the sight of God, but even animals do not engage in sexual intercourse, male/male, female/female.  Our bodies are not designed to function in this abnormal way.  When man rebels against nature, then nature rebels against the bodies of those who insist on this insanity.  The result: AIDS and death itself.

Most homosexuals die 30 to 40 years prematurely!

So when the president of a country announces publicly that he is sanctioning sodomy, the only thing left for that nation is judgment.

I have been monitoring the drought since May 10.  At this point approximately three-fourths of our country is experiencing either "abnormally dry" or "extreme drought".

THEN  . . . NINE YEARS LATER THE 1629 VERSION WAS REVISED IN 1638.

THEN . . . 124 YEARS LATER THE 1638 VERSION WAS REVISED IN 1762.

THE KJV WAS "REVISED" OVER AND OVER AGAIN FOR 151 YEARS!  THEY HAD TO KEEP REVISING IT BECAUSE THEY KEPT FINDING ERRORS.  Hmmmmm!

SO . . . WHEN A PERSON CLAIMS THAT THE KJV IS "THE ONE PAUL USED" (yes, some folks are this pathetically ignorant.  Paul died about one thousand six hundred years before the KJV even existed!).

I ASK, "WHICH ONE OF THE FIVE VERSIONS IS THE ONE YOU USE, THE 1611, THE 1615, THE 1629, THE 1638, OR THE 1762?"

2. What were its borders?
3. What was its capital?

6. What was its form of government?
7. Can you name at least one Palestinian leader before Arafat?
8. Was Palestine ever recognized by a country whose existence, at that time or now, leaves no room for interpretation?
9. What was the language of the country of Palestine ?
10. What was the prevalent religion of the country of Palestine ?
11. What was the name of its currency? Choose any date in history and tell what was the approximate exchange rate of the Palestinian monetary unit against the US dollar, German mark, GB pound, Japanese yen, or Chinese yuan on that date.
12. And, finally, since there is no such country today, what caused its demise and when did it occur?

And here is the least sarcastic question of all: If the people you mistakenly call "Palestinians" are anything but generic Arabs collected from all over -- or thrown out of -- the Arab world, if they really have a genuine ethnic identity that gives them right for self-determination, why did they never try to become independent until Arabs suffered their devastating defeat in the Six Day War?

I hope you avoid the temptation to trace the modern day "Palestinians" to the Biblical Philistines: substituting etymology for history won't work here.

The truth should be obvious to everyone who wants to know it. Arab countries have never abandoned the dream of destroying Israel ; they still cherish it today. Having time and again failed to achieve their evil goal with military means, they decided to fight Israel by proxy. For that purpose, they created a terrorist organization, cynically called it "the Palestinian people" and installed it in Gaza , Judea, and Samaria . How else can you explain the refusal by Jordan and Egypt to unconditionally accept back the "West Bank" and Gaza , respectively?

The fact is, Arabs populating Gaza, Judea, and Samaria have much less claim to nationhood than that Indian tribe that successfully emerged in Connecticut with the purpose of starting a tax-exempt casino: at least that tribe had a constructive goal that motivated them. The so-called "Palestinians" have only one motivation: the destruction of Israel , and in my book that is not sufficient to consider them a nation" -- or anything else except what they really are: a terrorist organization that will one day be dismantled.

In fact, there is only one way to achieve peace in the Middle East . Arab countries must acknowledge and accept their defeat in their war against Israel and, as the losing side should, pay Israel reparations for the more than 50 years of devastation they have visited on it. The most appropriate form of such reparations would be the removal of their terrorist organization from the land of Israel and accepting Israel 's ancient sovereignty over Gaza , Judea, and Samaria.

That will mark the end of the Palestinian people. What are you saying again was its beginning?

MISSIONS ARE PEOPLE

The Bartow family recently led a team of 30 people (mostly teenagers) from Miami to Jeremie, Haiti. Is this email not displaying correctly? View it in your browser. Missions Are People (Or, do teenagers have anything to offer?) The Bartow family recently led a group of 30 people--mostly teenagers--from Miami, Florida to visit Jeremie, Haiti. Of course, every team brings clothing, shoes, and medical supplies for the neediest in the local churches. This team was no exception, carrying almost 60 bags of supplies. But teenagers? Really? What do they have to offer? Besides bringing some stuff for the poor, what can they do? They can’t speak the language. They are not doctors. Paint a church, maybe? There are plenty of mission trips geared to “painting walls.” This means that the ministry creates some task for unskilled laborers so that they will feel like they’ve accomplished something significant overseas. This is not Full Life Crusade's philosophy. We would rather pay Haitian laborers to “paint the wall,” since there is already an 80% unemployment rate among the people. A paradigm shift is required. “Missions” are not a project. Missions are people. We have chosen to be people-oriented, rather than project-oriented, especially when it comes time to introduce people to another culture. This can be a hard pill to swallow for the American who wants to “do something.” Painting a wall is pretty easy. Laying hands on the dying in hospitals is not easy. Building a church may be hard work, but loving an orphaned child with HIV is harder. Because of this “people” philosophy of ministry, the short-term missionaries that we take to Haiti end up with a passion for people. Over the course of one short week, we had the privilege of introducing this group of American kids to the people of Haiti. And it was wonderful. The team prayed for the sick. They prayed for people in their homes. They loved on orphans. They ministered in church through song, testimony, and drama. They took the gospel to the streets, and yes…they played basketball. Hundreds of people attended a Miami vs. Jeremie basketball game, which the Americans lost with grace and even joy. After the game, the audience converged on the court, dancing to compa music and socializing with newfound friends. Yes, it seems like an odd place for Haitian young people to receive Jesus. But they did. Because for one week, the goal of the team was simple. To love. And the Haitians responded. New believers were given Creole Bibles if they could read, and mp3 players with audio Bibles if they couldn’t read. And we didn’t have enough. There were many tears shed that last night in Jeremie as the Americans and Haitians prayed for each other, encouraged each other, and sang together. The Miami group returned home with a new passion for the lost, more compassion for the needy, and anxious to serve Jesus Christ in every area of their lives. We were blessed, as always, to be a part of the transformation of lives, both American, and Haitian. Persecuted Ugandan Christian Aided by Israel

 I spent a couple of hours at an Israeli hospital with a man who does not need to put ashes on his forehead to commemorate Lent: Half of his face was burned off by an attack with acid a couple of months ago. He is a Ugandan pastor, a convert to Christianity from Islam, and his outspoken Christian witness has not been well received by Muslim radicals.
His name is Umar Mulinde. He grew up in a staunch Muslim home in Uganda; his grandfather was an imam, and Umar was trained in Islamic thought from childhood. His Muslim beliefs went unchallenged until he went to university, where he met a scholar who examined the beliefs of the New Testament in light of the Koran. Something in the professor’s words caused Umar to reconsider his faith. Although he was nearly convinced by the professor’s arguments, he was well aware that leaving Islam for Christianity would be the end of life as he knew it. He would be shunned by his family and friends, and viewed as an apostate by the Islamic community.
He decided to keep his thoughts to himself.
But one night Umar Mulinde had a profoundly vivid dream. He was bound in chains and surrounded by flames. He struggled, but was unable to free himself. He awoke, soaked in sweat and terrified. He spoke aloud an Islamic prayer that was meant to rebuke the evil jinn that had sent the dream. Temporarily relieved, he went back to sleep, and had the same dream again. He repeated the prayer. His fear abated, but the dream yet again recurred. Three times he wrestled against the chains and failed to break them.

Deeply troubled, Umar went to a Muslim teacher for advice. He was given further information, but by that time he knew what he had to do. One Sunday, for the first time in his life, he walked into a Christian church. He listened closely to the sermon, and when the pastor asked if anyone wanted to follow Jesus, Umar Mulinde put up his hand. He walked to the front of the church and offered a confessional prayer. He had publically converted from Islam to Christianity. He has never looked back, although he’s had ample reason to do so.
As he walked out of the church, three of his Muslim friends attacked him. “I knew that I would suffer beatings if I became a Christian, but I thought it would happen for a while and then stop. I was wrong.”
Meanwhile, as he studied the Bible — both Old and New Testaments — he continued to come across the phrase “the God of Israel.” He had heard nothing but hateful words about Jews. He didn’t even know where Israel was, but only that its people were “evil.” Now, he realized, “the God of Israel” was his God too.
As time passed, Umar Mulinde began to preach the Christian gospel, and before long he had a church of his own. At the same time, his curiosity about Israel had continued to grow. He traveled there to see for himself, taking along some other pastors. More and more captivated, he repeated the journey year after year.
At the same time, he was beginning to speak out about the Islamization that was taking place in Uganda. “More than 80 percent of the population is Christian, and 13 percent is Muslim, yet sharia law is recognized by the constitution although it is not operational,” he told me. Mulinde also organized a demonstration against Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad when he visited Uganda in 2010 — hundreds of participants wore “I love Israel” shirts and caps.
This past Christmas night, as Umar Mulinde walked out of his church, someone’s movements caught his attention; he sensed danger and immediately turned away. When the acid was thrown at him, it reached only half of his face — the right side, including his eye — and part of his back. Mulinde clearly heard his assailant declare “Allehu Akbar” three times as he slipped away into the crowd.
Mulinde was hospitalized in Uganda, but the medical staff soon acknowledged that he needed more help than they could offer. He contacted a friend in Israel. At the expense of concerned Israelis, he was flown to Tel Hashomer hospital, which has one of the most sophisticated burn centers in the world. Israelis, unfortunately, have had much experience with such injuries.
Umar Mulinde’s face is dramatically scarred and he has lost the sight in one eye. But his spirit is not dampened. He pastors a church of 1,000, and once mended, he intends to return to his home, and his wife and family.
As I left, he cautioned me about America. “Leaders in your country are not telling the truth about Islam,” he warned. “It is not a religion of peace. It is a religion of fear, not love. . . . Thank God I am free today from the chains that once bound me.”
