That's


what we think we heard on the 11th


of


September 2001 (When more than 3,000 Americans were


killed) and maybe it was, but I think it should have been


'Get Out of Bed!' In fact, I think the alarm clock has


been buzzing since 1979 and we have continued to hit the


snooze button and roll over for a few more minutes of


peaceful sleep since






then.






It was


a cool fall day in November 1979 in a


country going through a religious and political upheaval


when a group of Iranian students attacked and seized the


American


Embassy in Tehran . This seizure was an


outright attack on American soil; it was an attack that


held the world's most powerful country hostage &


paralyzed a Presidency. The attack on this sovereign


U. S. Embassy set the stage for events to follow for the


next 25 years.






America was still


reeling from the aftermath of the Vietnam experience and


had a serious threat from the Soviet


Union when then, President


Carter, had to do something.






He chose to conduct a clandestine


raid in the desert. The ill-fated mission ended in ruin,


but stood as a symbol of America's inability to deal with


terrorism.






America 's military had


been decimated and down sized/right sized since the


end of the


Vietnam War. A poorly trained, poorly


equipped and poorly organized military was called on to


execute a complex mission that was doomed from the


start.






Shortly after the Tehran


experience,


Americans began to be


kidnapped and killed throughout the Middle East . America


could do little to protect her citizens living and






working abroad. The attacks against


US soil






continued.






In


April of 1983 a large vehicle packed with


high explosives was driven into the US Embassy compound in


Beirut


When it explodes, it kills 63 people. The alarm went off


again and America hit the Snooze Button once


more.






Then just six short months


later in 1983 a large truck heavily laden


down with over 25 00 pounds of TNT smashed through the


main gate of the US Marine Corps headquarters in Beirut


and 241 US servicemen are killed. America mourns her dead


and hit the Snooze Button once


more.






Two months later in


December 1983, another truck loaded with


explosives is driven into the US Embassy in Kuwait


, and America continues her


slumber.






The following year, in


September 1984, another van was driven into


the gate of the US Embassy in Beirut and America


slept.






Soon the terrorism spreads


to Europe . In






April 1985 a bomb


explodes in a restaurant


frequented


by US soldiers in


Madrid.






Then in


August 1985 a Volkswagen loaded with


explosives is driven into the main gate of the US Air


Force Base at Rheine-Main, 22 are killed and the snooze


alarm is buzzing louder and louder as US interests are


continually attacked.






Fifty-nine


days later in 1985 a cruise ship, the


Achille


Lauro is hijacked and we watched as an


American in a wheelchair is singled out of the passenger


list and






executed.






The


terrorists then shift their tactics to






bombing civilian airliners when they


bomb TWA Flight 840 in April of 1986that


killed 4 and the most tragic bombing, Pan Am Flight


103 over


Lockerbie , Scotland in 1988,






killing


259.






The wake up alarm is getting


louder and






louder.






The


terrorists decide to bring the fight to






America . In


January 1993, two CIA agents are


shot and killed as they enter CIA headquarters in Langley,


Virginia






The


following month,


February 1993 , a group of


terrorists are arrested after a rented van packed with


explosives is driven into the underground parking garage


of the World Trade


Center in New York City .


Six people are killed and over 1000 are injured.






Still


this is a crime and not an act of war? The Snooze alarm is


depressed again.






Then in


November 1995 a car bomb


explodes at a US military complex in


Riyadh Saudi






Arabia killing seven service


men and women.






A few


months later in June


of 1996, another truck bomb


explodes only 35 yards from the US military compound in


Dhahran , Saudi


Arabia .


It destroys the Khobar


Towers , a US Air Force barracks, killing


19 and injuring over 500. The terrorists are getting


braver and smarter as they see that America does not


respond decisively.






They move to


coordinate their attacks in a






simultaneous attack on two US


embassies in Kenya


and Tanzania. These attacks were planned with


precision. They kill 224.


America


responds with cruise


missile attacks and goes back to


sleep.






The USS


Cole was docked in the port of






Aden,


Yemen for refueling on 12


October 2000 , when a small


craft pulled along side the ship and exploded killing 17


US Navy Sailors. Attacking a US War Ship is an act of war,


but we sent the FBI to investigate the


crime and went back to sleep.






And


of course you know the events


of 11 September


2001. Most Americans


think this


was the


first attack against US soil or in America . How wrong


they are. America has been under a constant attack since


1979 and


we chose to hit the snooze


alarm and roll over and go back to


sleep.






In the news lately we have


seen lots of


finger pointing from


every high official in government over what they knew and


what they didn't know. But if you've read the papers and


paid a little attention I think you can see exactly what


they knew. You don't have to be in the FBI or CIA or on


the National Security Council to


see the pattern that has


been developing since


1979.






I


think we have been in a war for the past






25 years and it will continue until


we as a people decide enough is enough. America needs to


'Get out of Bed' and act decisively






now. America has been changed


forever. We have to be ready to pay the price and


make the sacrifice to ensure our way of life continues. We


cannot afford to keep hitting the snooze button again and


again and roll over and go back to


sleep.






After the attack on


Pearl Harbor , Admiral






Yamamoto said '... it seems all we


have done is awakened a sleeping


giant.' This is the message we need to


disseminate to


terrorists around the


world.






This is not a political


thing to be hashed


over in an


election year, this is an AMERICAN thing. This is about


our Freedom and the Freedom of our children in years to


come.






If you believe in this

as many people


as you can especially to the young people and all those


who dozed off in history class and who seem so quick to






protest such a necessary military


action. If you don't believe


it, just delete it and go back to


sleep.

WHAT HAPPENED TO "THE MESSIAH"?

 But, Barack Obama is failing. Failing big. Failing fast. And failing



everywhere: foreign policy, domestic initiatives, and most importantly, in


forging connections with the American people. The incomparable Dorothy


Rabinowitz in the Wall Street Journal put her finger on it: He is failing


because he has no understanding of the American people, and may indeed loathe


them. Fred Barnes of the Weekly Standard says he is failing because he has lost


control of his message, and is overexposed. Clarice Feldman of American Thinker


produced a dispositive commentary showing that Obama is failing because


fundamentally he is neither smart nor articulate; his intellectual dishonesty is


conspicuous by its audacity and lack of shame.


But, there is something more seriously wrong: How could a new president riding


in on a wave of unprecedented promise and goodwill have forfeited his tenure and


become a lame duck in six months? His poll ratings are in free fall. In


generic balloting, the Republicans have now seized a five point advantage. This


truly is unbelievable. What's going on?


No narrative. Obama doesn't have a narrative. No, not a narrative about


himself. He has a self-narrative, much of it fabricated, cleverly disguised or


written by someone else. But this self-narrative is isolated and doesn't


connect with us. He doesn't have an American narrative that draws upon the rest


of us. All successful presidents have a narrative about the American character


that intersects with their own where they display a command of history and


reveal an authenticity at the core of their personality that resonates in a


positive endearing way with the majority of Americans. We admire those


presidents whose narratives not only touch our own, but who seem stronger,


wiser, and smarter than we are. Presidents we admire are aspirational peers,


even those whose politics don't align exactly with our own: Teddy Roosevelt,


FDR, Harry Truman, Ike, and Reagan.


But not this president. It's not so much that he's a phony, knows nothing about


economics, and is historically illiterate and woefully small minded for the size


of the task--all contributory of course. It's that he's not one of us. And


whatever he is, his profile is fuzzy and devoid of content, like a cardboard


cutout made from delaminated corrugated paper. Moreover, he doesn't command our


respect and is unable to appeal to our own common sense. His notions of right


and wrong are repugnant and how things work just don't add up. They are not


existential. His descriptions of the world we live in don't make sense and don't


correspond with our experience.


In the meantime, while we've been struggling to take a measurement of this man,


he's dissed just about every one of us -- financiers, energy producers, banks,


insurance executives, police officers, doctors, nurses, hospital administrators,


post office workers, and anybody else who has a non-green job.


Expect Obama to lament at his last press conference in 2012: "For those of you I


offended, I apologize. For those of you who were not offended, you just didn't


give me enough time; if only I'd had a second term, I could have offended you


too."


Mercifully, the Founders at the Constitutional Convention in 1787 devised a


useful remedy for such a desperate state--staggered terms for both houses of the


legislature and the executive. An equally abominable Congress can get voted out


next year. With a new Congress, there's always hope of legislative gridlock


until we vote for president again two short years after that.


Yes, small presidents do fail, Barack Obama among them. The coyotes howl but


the wagon train keeps rolling along.

In the Muslim faith a Muslim man can marry a child as young as 1 year old and have sexual intimacy with this child. Consummating the marriage by 9.


The dowry is given to the family in exchange for the woman (who becomes his slave) and for the purchase of the private parts of the woman, to use her as a toy.


Even though a woman is abused she can not obtain a divorce.


To prove rape, the woman must have (4) male witnesses.


Often after a woman has been raped, she is returned to her family and the family must return the dowry. The family has the right to execute her (an honor killing) to restore the honor of the family. Husbands can beat their wives 'at will' and he does not have to say why he has beaten her.


The husband is permitted to have (4 wives) and a temporary wife for an hour (prostitute) at his discretion.


The Shariah Muslim law controls the private as well as the public life of the woman.


In the West World ( America ) Muslim men are starting to demand Shariah Law so the wife can not obtain a divorce and he can have full and complete control of her. It is amazing and alarming how many of our sisters and daughters attending American Universities are now marrying Muslim men and submitting themselves and their children unsuspectingly to the Shariah law.


By passing this on, enlightened American women may avoid becoming a slave under Shariah Law.


Ripping the West in Two.


Author and lecturer Nonie Darwish says the goal of radical Islamists is to impose Shariah law on the world, ripping Western law and liberty in two.


She recently authored the book, Cruel and Usual Punishment: The Terrifying Global Implications of Islamic Law.


Darwish was born in Cairo and spent her childhood in Egypt and Gaza before immigrating to America in 1978, when she was eight years old. Her father died while leading covert attacks on Israel . He was a high-ranking Egyptian military officer stationed with his family in Gaza .


When he died, he was considered a "shahid," a martyr for jihad. His posthumous status earned Nonie and her family an elevated position in Muslim society.


But Darwish developed a skeptical eye at an early age. She questioned her own Muslim culture and upbringing.. She converted to Christianity after hearing a Christian preacher on television.


In her latest book, Darwish warns about creeping sharia law - what it is, what it means, and how it is manifested in Islamic countries.


For the West, she says radical Islamists are working to impose sharia on the world. If that happens, Western civilization will be destroyed. Westerners generally assume all religions encourage a respect for the dignity of each individual. Islamic law (Sharia) teaches that non-Muslims should be subjugated or killed in this world.


Peace and prosperity for one's children is not as important as assuring that Islamic law rules everywhere in the Middle East and eventually in the world.


While Westerners tend to think that all religions encourage some form of the golden rule, Sharia teaches two systems of ethics - one for Muslims and another for non-Muslims. Building on tribal practices of the seventh century, Sharia encourages the side of humanity that wants to take from and subjugate others.


While Westerners tend to think in terms of religious people developing a personal understanding of and relationship with God, Sharia advocates executing people who ask difficult questions that could be interpreted as criticism.


It's hard to imagine, that in this day and age, Islamic scholars agree that those who criticize Islam or choose to stop being Muslim should be executed. Sadly, while talk of an Islamic reformation is common and even assumed by many in the West, such murmurings in the Middle East are silenced through intimidation.


While Westerners are accustomed to an increase in religious tolerance over time, Darwish explains how petro dollars are being used to grow an extremely intolerant form of political Islam in her native Egypt and elsewhere.


(In twenty years there will be enough Muslim voters in the U.S. To elect the President by themselves! Rest assured they will do so... You can look at how they have taken over several towns in the USA .. Dearborn Mich. Is one... And there are others...)


I think everyone in the U.S. Should be required to read this, but with the ACLU, there is no way this will be widely publicized, unless each of us sends it on!


It is too bad that so many are disillusioned with life and Christianity to accept Muslims as peaceful.. some may be but they have an army that is willing to shed blood in the name of Islam.. the peaceful support the warriors with their finances and own kind of patriotism to their religion. While America is getting rid of Christianity from all public sites and erasing God from the lives of children the Muslims are planning a great jihad on America ..

SIGNS, WONDERS, & MIRACLES

During the past 46 years we have seen the hand of God move in very powerful ways. In this letter there is only space for six of the stories that have touched the lives of so many people.

Story # 1, The Witch Doctor:

My father- in-law, Pastor George Clerie, who spent his entire life in Haiti, saw hundreds of signs and wonders during his lifetime. These powerful stories that he told drew me very close to him as I was just beginning my own ministry in the 1960s. I only knew him for a couple of years because he died suddenly of a heart attack just after Lisa, our first daughter, was born.

I will never forget hearing Pastor George tell of the time when a Witch Doctor had sent several of his men to kill him and rob him as he was walking home after one of his powerful meetings. Of course, he did not know anything about the enemy's plans.

But God knew!

Several days later, after the intended assault, the Witch Doctor and his men came to Pastor George's home and sat on the porch talking.

“What did you do to us the other night?” the Witch Doctor asked.

“What do you mean?” Pastor George said. “I don't know anything about the other night.”

“When you were returning from your meeting Sunday evening, we planned to rob you and kill you.”

“Well, what stopped you?” Pastor George asked.

“We were hiding in the bushes waiting for you. As you approached us we were getting ready to jump out and attack you. Suddenly a terrible smell caused us to fall down on the ground and begin vomiting. So we were not able to approach you.”

“Oh,” Pastor George responded. “I know what happened to you. In the Bible (2 Cor. 2:14-16) it says that believers in Jesus Christ are a Christ-like fragrance rising up to God. But this fragrance is perceived differently by those who are being saved and by those who are perishing. To those who are perishing, we are a dreadful smell of death and doom. This is what you smelled the other night.”

“Yes, this is exactly what we smelled. Your power is much greater than ours. How can we get what you have?

Because of this supernatural miracle Pastor George was able to teach the Witch Doctor and his thugs about Jesus. Every one of them accepted Christ as Savior, repented of their sins, and were saved. The converted Witch Doctor eventually became one of the pastors at the mission. I have had the privilege of meeting him and preaching in his church near Jeremie.

Story #2, Miracle in the Jungle:

We had traveled for several hours on a very dusty road near Mt. Kenya. The dust was so fine that it came up through the floorboards of the old beat-up vehicle that our host referred to as a “car”. The dust was inside the pages of my Bible, in my nose, in my ears, hair, and eyes. Seriously, I don’t remember ever being as dirty as I was on that trip. And, of course, when we arrived at our destination there wasn’t a shower. We were almost dead-center on the Equator in Kenya, Africa.

The next afternoon we had our first meeting. Not only was the entire village there, but people had walked for days from other areas to attend. In spite of the hardships, heat, and dirt, I felt a very powerful anointing as I preached.

Our second meeting was scheduled for that evening. I barely had time to take a short nap. We could hardly believe the number of people pressing in and almost fighting for a place so they could hear the Word of God.

“Why are so many people here tonight?” I asked.

“Word got around, Wes.” my Kenyan host answered, with a huge smile on his face.

“Word got around about what?” I responded.

“Oh, I guess I forgot to tell you. This afternoon while you were preaching a 12-year-old girl who had never spoken or heard was instantly healed. She was deaf and dumb from birth. She not only had the two miracles of healing, but she is speaking Swahili perfectly. Her family and neighbors have been telling everyone about it.”

The amazing thing is that no one had prayed for this girl. God merely sent his Word and healed her!


Story # 3, God Speaks English:

In China we heard so many stories of God's powerful miracles that I believe that I could fill a book with the events. Of course, the first trip to the PRC will remain in my memory forever. Twenty-three of us carried in more than one ton of Bibles---right past the watchful eyes of the communist border guards. On every one of my sixty trips to China there were always miracles, signs, and wonders.

Of course, the biggest miracle for the Chinese people was that on each of these trips our team delivered a huge payload of Bibles. It was not uncommon to see a Chinese pastor on his knees weeping for joy as he received God’s Word for his congregation.

Can you imagine what it would do for you to have a man on his knees holding your ankles, tears streaming down his face, thanking you for bringing him a Bible?

As I was riding in a taxi cab one morning on my way to preach at a meeting, the usual blaring of the cab's radio filled the taxi. Of course, since we were in China, it was all in Mandarin, China's main language.

Then, suddenly, in perfect English I heard: “God's Word is good for the Chinese people!”

I almost could not believe my ears. It made me so excited, because at times on the mission field I have wondered if I was making any eternal impact. I suppose that God knew I needed encouragement.

A few minutes later, again in perfect English I heard: “It is good to bring Bibles to the Chinese people!”

My taxi driver did not know English, but when I arrived at my destination I gave him some Chinese literature and, by making signs with my hands, encouraged him to pray to God. Believe me, that morning when I preached I felt a very special anointing.

Story #4, Helpless in Haiti:

In March, when I was at the point of death in Haiti with a temperature of 105.7 degrees, and blood pressure reading of 60 over 40, we saw the hand of God in several clear ways. Dr. David Marks, who was using his skills as a doctor to do relief work in Haiti after the 7.2 earthquake, spent 13 hours with me that eventually saved my life. And . . . he had just put in a 12-hour shift just before that.

Heidi, my daughter, saw him on his way out of the hospital and asked him if he would look at her Dad.
She had already asked another doctor, but he said that he was too busy. Dr. Marks came to me as I lay helplessly on the floor in one of the hallways.

Later he told us that I was minutes from death. He was also amazed that with my blood pressure being so low I never passed out or went into a coma. Another amazing thing is that the little Haitian hospital was very, very short on supplies. Of course, I needed a lot of saline solution. Dr. Marks knew right where to get it. A few days earlier he had brought a supply to the hospital from an orphanage because he knew that if the solution had been given to one of the orphans it would have killed him. The solution that had been donated was only for adult use. He gave me two and a half gallons (9 liters) of fluid that night.

The next morning a Marine helicopter air-lifted me to the USNS Comfort, a navy hospital ship. A team of six more doctors worked on me there. The pilot of the helicopter had another assignment, but chose to rescue me instead. If I had not been taken to The Comfort I would have died because I had a terrible relapse two days later.

Story #5, The Greg Anthony show:

After my terrible illness in Haiti and my near-death experience there, I was so weak when I returned home that I could barely walk across a room. So how do you help anyone else when you are this feeble? In spite of what I had gone through, the fire burning in my heart to share the gospel was stronger than ever. I was so thankful to God to be alive; and I was so thankful for the miracles he performed to keep me alive.

It was very, very frustrating to be so weak. And I felt slightly depressed.

So I did what I have done for most of my life---I prayed and studied the Bible.

And then one morning when I checked my email messages there was a short note from someone I had never heard from before, right out of the blue. The writer asked me if I would be on his secular radio show in California---via telephone. It would be a one-hour interview!

Wow! Just perfect for me!

So I emailed Greg back and said I would be delighted for him to interview me. Little did I realize what a great open door God had provided.

Almost every person in the United States west of the Mississippi River would be able to listen. The full potential could reach 100 million people!

When God opens doors he really opens doors!

Here I was sitting in my living room with my Bible praying to the Lord, seemingly pretty hopeless and weak. But the Bible says that his strength is made perfect in our weakness.

To make a long story short, Greg told me after the interview that more people responded to my testimony than any program he had ever aired!

Well . . . isn’t that just like God? When he does something he does it well.

So, to make the long story even shorter . . . Greg interviewed me a second time about a month later.

Story # 6, Preaching to Thousands:

Our first missionary trip to the Philippines was a surprise to all of us on the team. Originally we had been invited by Mariano Yu to teach a few home Bible studies. But by the time we actually arrived in Manila, it was as though the entire city knew we were coming. In all of my trips abroad our team never had such a royal reception. We spoke at business men’s clubs, schools, prisons, churches, and lastly in the huge La Loma soccer field. Each event was headlined in the city’s newspaper.

The Philippine government even rolled out the red carpet for us by giving us the government-owned soccer field---free of charge!

I will never forget the first night of the crusade!

Next to the soccer field was a hospital. Unbeknown to any of us at the meeting, a woman had just checked out of the hospital. The last words she heard from her doctor were: “There is nothing more we can do for you. We are sending you home to die!”

She was in very great pain as her friends helped her descend the hospital steps. But before she got into the taxi she heard the voice of my preaching blaring out from the huge PA system. Her unbearable pain was instantly gone! And she knew she had been supernaturally healed.

Somehow she knew that there was a connection to her healing with the sound coming from the soccer field. So she pushed her way through the vast crowd and eventually ended up on the platform where I was speaking. She wanted to tell her story.

As she held the microphone she trembled and sobbed her heart out for joy. Then I took the mike and told her about the Jesus who had healed her through the power of the Holy Spirit. When I asked her if she wanted to accept him as her Savior, she just screamed out, “Yes, I do. Yes, I do. All my pain is gone. I have been instantly healed!”

There was just absolute pandemonium in that place. I did not need to say another word. We simply extended the invitation to everyone who wanted to meet Jesus.

More people came forward than I had ever preached to in my life. They did not just walk forward . . . they ran toward the platform. Very seldom, in all of my trips abroad have I seen such an amazing response to the gospel of Jesus Christ. What a witness to the resurrected Son of God!

So we serve a God who is alive and very active in the affairs of those who believe. Several times over the years I've had someone come up to me after I had spoken somewhere to declare, “I don't believe that God does miracles anymore.”

I have a standard answer for people who think like this. “The Bible says these signs follow THEM THAT BELIEVE. If you don't believe, then you have nothing to worry about.”

As for me and my house, we have chosen to believe!.

“These miraculous signs will accompany those who believe” (Mark 16:17). These words are from the very lips of our Lord Jesus Christ after he was raised from the dead and was teaching the disciples.

Haiti:

The U.S. government said that it will take approximately 10 years for the nation to recover from the January 12 earthquake. Tens of thousands of people are still sleeping in the streets. Many of them do not have food or medical care. Most do not have clean water to drink.

The five Hydro-Wells that we shipped to Haiti are supplying about 1,000 people each day with clean water. But this is just a drop in the bucket compared to the vast need.

Many of the bodies of those who died were picked up by a garbage truck and dumped in a field outside Port-au-Prince. A pastor told us that around 300,000 corpses were bull-dozed into a huge hole. Had I died in Haiti I would have probably been the only white man dumped there.

Why are there so many people sleeping in the streets? Many of them sleep in the streets because their homes have been leveled by the massive earthquake. Others, whose homes were only slightly damaged, sit empty because the people are afraid to go back into their houses for fear they will collapse on them.

One of our goals is to help provide temporary housing for the homeless, even if it is just a tent which will protect them from the rain and scorching sun.

One young man told us how his mother died. A soon as the quake hit she jumped on top of him to try to protect him. Her head completely crushed his arm, but she was killed in the process. She literally died to save his life.

During my time in Haiti God led me to some Haitian young people and we started having a Bible study each day. We met for two or three hours every day. I knew that I’d only be in Haiti for about three weeks, so I started looking around for someone to take my place. A white guy by the name of Clint started attending after about two weeks. It was as though the Lord was saying, “Here is your replacement.”

God works in very strange and unusual ways. Clint will be getting married to Wendell Martin’s daughter this month in Ohio. Wendell is the man I trained to lead the Bible courier teams to China.

My prayer for you is that God will give you his signs and wonders and bring great encouragement into your life. He is a mighty God and He is able to do anything. With God nothing is impossible!

EXODUS

I spent the last several weeks STUDYING the book of Exodus. Here are just a few of the gems I found:

We must make a plan. 1:10.

They refused to obey the king's orders. 1:17.

They cried out for help, and their cry rose up to God. 2:23.

God heard their groaning, and he remembered his covenant promise to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. 2:24.

God knew it was time to act. 2:24b.

Moses took a closer look. 3:4.

I am aware of their suffering.3:7. I have been watching closely. 3:16. I am well aware of my covenant with them. 6:5.

Three-day journey: 5:3; 11:22; 19:11; 23:14; 34:13.

Every Israelite woman will ask for articles of silver and gold and fine clothing from the Egyptians.3:22; 11:2.

Aaron is on his way to meet you now. 4:14; 4:27.

I have empowered you. 4:21.

When they heard that the Lord was concerned about them and had seen their misery, they bowed down and worshiped. 4:31.

I appeared to Abraham, Isaac, and to Jacob as El-Shaddai-God Almighty-but I did not reveal my name, Yahweh, to them. 6:3.

I will make you seem like God to Pharaoh. 7:1.

Moses was eighty years old, and Aaron was eighty-three when they made their demands to Pharoah. 7:7.

"This is the finger of God!" the magicians exclaimed. 8:19; 31:13.

I will make a clear distinction between my people and your people. 8:23; 9:4; 9:26; 11:7 11:23.

I have spared you for a purpose-to show you my power and to spread my fame throughout the earth. 9:16.

I've also done it so you can tell your children and grandchildren about how I made a mockery of the Egyptians. 10:2;13:8.

We won't know how to worship the Lord until we get there. 10:26.

Then a loud wail will rise throughout the land of Egypt, a wail like no one has heard before or will ever hear again.11:6.

When I see the blood I will pass over you. 12:13,33.

They stripped the Egyptians of their wealth. 12:36.

There were about 600,000 men, plus all the women and children. 12:37.

The people of Israel had lived in Egypt for 430 years. In fact, it was on the last day of the 430th year that all the Lord's forces left the land. 12:40-41.

Do not break any of the Passover lamb's bones. 12:46.

The Lord brought the people of Israel out of the land of Egypt like an army. 12:50.

You have been set free. 13:4.

God will certainly come to help you. 13:19,21.

Order the Israelites to turn back and camp by
Pi-hahiroth between Migdol and the sea. I have planned this! 14:2,4.

The people of Israel left Egypt with fists raised in defiance. 14:8.

Don't be afraid. Just stand still and watch the Lord rescue you today. The Egyptians will never be seen again. The Lord himself will fight for you. Just stay calm. 14:13-14.

All Egypt will see my glory and know that I am the Lord. 14:18.

The Lord opened up a path through the water with a strong east wind. The wind blew all that night, turning the sea bed into dry land. So the people of Israel walked through the middle of the sea on dry ground, with walls of water on each side. The deep waters became hard. 14:21-22; 15:8.

So Moses cried out to the the Lord for help, and the Lord showed him a piece of wood. He threw it into the water, and this made the water good to drink. 15:25.

If you listen carefully to the voice of the Lord your God and do what is right in his sight, obeying his commands and keeping all his decrees, then I will not make you suffer any of the diseases I sent on the Egyptians; for I am the Lord who heals you. 15:26.

I'm going to rain down food from heaven for you. 16:4.

In the morning you will see the glory of the Lord. 16:7.

Manna (what is it?) was a flaky substance. It was white like coriander seed, and it tasted like honey wafers. 16:14,31.

Pick up two quarts for each person in your tent. 16:16.

Jethro, Moses' father-in-law, who had been a worshiper of Baal, becomes a believer. "I know now that the Lord is greater than all other gods, because he rescued his people from the oppression of the proud Egyptians." 18:11.

What are you really accomplishing here? 18:14.

This job is too heavy a burden for you to handle all by yourself. 18:18.

I carried you on eagles' wings and brought you to myself. 19:4.

If you will obey me and keep my covenant, you will be my own special treasure from among all the peoples on earth; for all the earth belongs to me. And you will be my kingdom of priests, my holy nation. 19:5-6.

There was a long, loud blast from a ram's horn, and all the peole trembled. They stood at a distance, trembling with fear. 19:16; 20:18.

All of Mount Sinai was covered with smoke because the Lord had descended on it in the form of fire. 19:18.

Your fear of him will keep you from sinning. 20:20.

An accident permitted by God. 21:13.

You must not call on the name of any other gods. Do not even speak their names. 23:13.

I am sending an angel before you to protect you on your journey and lead you safely to the place I have prepared for you. Pay close attention to him, and obey his instructions. Do not rebel against him for he is my representative, and he will not forgive your rebellion. But if you are careful to obey him following all my instructions, then I will be an enemy to your enemies, and I will oppose those who oppose you. For my angel will go before you and bring you into the land. 23:20-23.

You must serve only the Lord your God. If you do I will bless you with food and water, and I will protect you from illness. 23:25.

Make no treaties with them or their gods. They must not live in your land, or they will cause you to sin against me. 23:32-33.

Moses took the Book of the Covenant and read it aloud to the people. 24:7.

Then Moses, Aaron, Nadam, Abihu, and the seventy elders of Israel climbed up the mountain. There they saw the God of Israel. Under his feet there seemed to be a surface of brilliant blue lapis lazuli, as clear as the sky itself. And these nobles of Israel gazed upon God, he did not destroy them. In fact, they ate a covenant meal, eating and drinking in his presence! 24:9-11.

Then Moses climbed up the mountain, and the cloud covered it. And the glory of the Lord settled down on Mount Sinai, and the cloud covered it for six days. On the seventh day the Lord called to Moses from inside the cloud. To the Israelites at the foot of the mountain, the glory of the Lord appeared at the summit like a consuming fire. Then Moses disappeared into the cloud as he climbed higher up the mounatin. He remained on the mountain forty days and forty nights. 24:15-18.

Accept the contributions from all whose hearts are moved to offer them. 25:2.

I will meet with you there and talk to you from above the atonement cover. 25:22.

Insert the Urim and Thummim into the sacred chestpiece. These are the objects used to determine the Lord's will. 28:30.

I have specifically chosen Bezalel. I have filled him with the Spirit of God, giving him great wisdom, ability, and expertise in all kinds of crafts. I have given him special skill so he can make all the things I have commanded you to make. 31:2,3,6.

When Moses prayed the Lord changed his mind. 32:14.

The lie: I simply threw it into the fire-and out came this calf! 32:24.

Let me know your ways so I may understand you more fully and continue to enjoy your favor. 33:13.

Your presence among us sets your people and me apart from all other people on the earth. 33:16.

I will call out my name, Yahweh, before you. For I will show mercy to anyone I choose, and I will show compassion to anyone I choose. But you may not look directly at my face, for no one may see me and live. 33:19-20; 34:5-6.

Moses immediately threw himself to the ground and worshiped. 34:8.

I will perform miracles that have never been performed anywhere in all the earth or in any nation. And all the people around you will see the power of the Lord.
34:10.

Never make a treaty with the people who live in the land. 34:12.

Moses remained there on the mountain with the Lord forty days and forty nights. In all that time he ate no bread and drank no water. 34:28.

His face had become radiant because he had spoken to the Lord. 34:29.

All whose hearts were stirred and whose spirits were moved came and brought their sacred offerings to the Lord. 35:21.

The Lord had given Bezalel and Oholiab the ability to teach their skills to others. 35:34.

The people had given more than enough. 36:5.

Bezalel made the ark. 37:1.

The people brought 43 million dollars worth of gold, and 2 million dollars worth of silver for the Tabernacle. 38:24.

Bezalel made gold thread by hammering out thin sheets of gold and cutting it into fine strands. 39:3.

Moses took the stone tablets inscribed with the terms of the covenant and placed them inside the Ark. 40:20.

Then the cloud covered the Tabernacle, and the glory of the Lord filled the Tabernacle. Moses could no longer enter the Tabernacle because the cloud had settled down over it, and the glory of the Lord filled the Tabernacle. Now whenever the cloud lifted from the Tabernacle, the people of Israel would set out on their journey, following it. But if the cloud did not rise, they remained where they were until it lifted. 40:36-37.

CHINA'S HUGE OIL SPILL

Revelation's warning about creatures in the sea dying does seem apocalyptic now. Check out these pictures of what just happened off the coast of Dalian, China. The Chinese won't even reveal how many millions of gallons have gone into the Yellow Sea.

The Gulf of Mexico is approximately 600,000 square miles compared to the Yellow Sea, which is 146,700 square miles. In other words, the Yellow Sea is about one-fourth the size of the Gulf of Mexico.
But these pictures pretty much tell the story. One reporter said "The oil is half-solid and half liquid and is as sticky as asphalt." This means that it is even worse than the Gulf spill. I was actually on this China beach several years ago when I entered North Korea without a passport!

DEAR VIRGINIA

I get some very interesting emails from those who are reading my blog. Here is an answer I recently sent:

Dear Virginia,

Sin has caused Americans to be in a very deep sleep and only another event worse than 9/11 will awaken them. Our nation has four very real enemies: muslims, mexicans, inner-city blacks, and our very own government, who will arrest you if you do anything to these other three groups. Even our own soldiers, policemen and border guards are being prosecuted when they don't follow the "rules of engagement" to the letter of the law. What is behind this madness? It is very simple: Obama wants the voting bloc of these three groups. Without it he does not have a ghost of a chance of being elected again. Sheriff Paul Babeau (Google him) has had several of his deputies murdered by illegals. These violent mexicans have taken over a huge area in his Arizona county. When the Sheriff was interviewed on FOX news he asked for 3,000 troops to come and help him arrest the illegals and force them back into Mexico. He wants to do his job by protecting the citizens of the United States from both drug smuggling, human trafficking and the crimes associated with both.
So far all he has received is silence from the White House. But the White House is very quick to donate our tax dollars to these drug lords in the form of food, housing, medical aid and education . . . all free, for them, of course. Is this insanity? And the DOJ has dropped the charges against blacks in Philly who stood at poling booths with batons, threatening white and black voters.

Now, more recently, an extremely angry black man, who is a member of the New Black Panther Party (which claims to be peaceful), is walking city streets with a megaphone telling mobs of people, "Kill the white people. Kill their cracker babies!"

Of course, nothing is being done to him.

Imagine how quickly a white person would be arrested for asking white people to kill nigger babies!

The Department of Justice (DOJ) has responded, and I quote, "The law should not be used against black wrongdoers because of the long history of slavery and segregation." So from now on it is just us "crackers" who will get arrested for breaking the law.

Sheriff Babeau has many threats on his life.
But he has vowed to continue the fight to secure our borders and fight drug smuggling and human trafficking across Arizona. Sheriff Babeu stated, “We don't have enough Deputies to respond to local emergencies and to protect our Pinal County families. I understand this threat, yet I will not run in fear or change my support for SB1070 and my demands for President Obama to secure our border with 3,000 armed soldiers in Arizona and start building the fence again. I'm always armed and as every law enforcement member knows, we always have to be aware of our surroundings and possible threats.”

America is fast becoming a Third-World Country. Just a few years ago you would not have believed that you could have your life threatened when you went to vote.

We need a Great Awakening from God. Without it we are doomed. Our Sunday night group is praying according to Psalm 149 to bind our kings with shackles. The spiritual weapons we have at our disposable are effective and very, very powerful . . . more powerful than violence. Use your God-given weapons in this Psalm to save our nation!

Just In: Peaceful Black Expo Week July 18 in Indianapolis: Celebrating 40 years of "culture"!

Three separate shootings left 10 people wounded and scattered hundreds in downtown Indianapolis during the crowded Indiana Black Expo, police said early Sunday.

Police spokesman Lt. Jeff Duhamell said authorities made no immediate arrests directly tied to the shootings and investigators were seeking leads to the suspects.

None of the victims' injuries were life-threatening, Duhamell told The Associated Press, adding police had made three unrelated arrests on weapons charges.

The shooting began when several shots rang out around 9:30 p.m. Saturday near Circle Centre mall, leaving eight people wounded and sending people running, Duhamell said.

He said a second shooting occurred nearby just minutes after the initial shooting and left one young man wounded. He added that the third shooting occurred around 11:30 p.m. and left another man wounded.

Duhamell said the shooting victims were all males between 10 and 18 years old. He said most were taken to two area hospitals where they were in good condition early Sunday. One person was treated at the scene.

Authorities say none of the shootings occurred at venues playing host to Black Expo activities, but police patrolling amid the crowd moving about the downtown area quickly converged on the scene.

"It's pretty unusual to have this many shots in one time. It's very unfortunate," Duhamell said.

Duhamell said investigators had no immediate report on a possible motive but were trying to determine if any of the shootings were gang-related.

He said hundreds of officers had been assigned to policing the 10-day event, which concludes later Sunday.

SHADES OF BELSHAZZAR

In Daniel chapter five, an unknown
came to the throne of Babylon. The
Bible says that he was the son of
Nebuchadnezzar, but more likely
his grandson. He evidently had no
experience at ruling anything, but
was good at organizing community
parties. He was given Babylon
because of his loyalty to his ruling
dynasty. He never asked for advice
before making a decision; pride was
his guide. He thought he could do no
wrong and that the entire kingdom
was there for his pleasure.
He tempted God by using the
temple treasury to impress his
lustful guests. While his kingdom
languished, he drank wine and dined
in the palace with those that would
agree to anything to gain his favor.
He mocked God by praising the idols
of his ancestors. According to recent
finds, his actual father was Nabonidus. Like father, like son—so his favorite god would be the same god his father worshipped,who is shown on a relief praying to the moon god (www.livius.org). Belshazzar had witnessed Nebuchadnezzar’s failures and successes and had learned nothing from them, or he had simply ignored them. He never admitted fault, and his answer to inexperience and inability to rule was to ignore the problem or bribe someone
else to take care of it. He didn’t realize his destiny until he saw the handwriting on the wall and his dream of stardom suddenly became a nightmare.
Because of his intentional and continual disregard for the God of Heaven, God sent him a message in Daniel 5:5–6, “In the same hour came forth fingers of a man’s hand, and wrote over against the candlestick upon the plaister of the wall of the
king’s palace: and the king saw the part of the hand that wrote. Then the king’s countenance was changed, and his thoughts troubled him, so that the joints of his loins were loosed, and his knees smote one against another.” When he received the message from God, none of his buddies could help him. Only
Daniel, God’s man, could be honest enough to tell him the truth. This was one time he could not buy his way out of the problem.
Daniel refused his gift and delivered God’s message: “MENE, MENE, TEKEL, UPHARSIN”—“God hath numbered your kingdom, and finished it. You are weighed in the balances, and are found wanting.
Your kingdom is divided, and given tothe Medes and Persians.” That night,the king of the Chaldeans was killed and Darius the Median took over the kingdom.
There is nothing new under the sun, and suddenly this little messiah was a thing of the past.
Enter Barack Hussein Obama. We have today another ruler of the same shades as Belshazzer. He was thrust
onto the political scene out of obscurity with little or no notion of how to run a government. His only experience was organizing community meetings and
parties for his political cronies. His cronies always seemed to be Socialists such as William Ayers, a member of the “Weather Underground,” who was
a fugitive for ten years for bombing the Pentagon, the U.S. Capitol, and other government buildings. The FBI labeled his organization as a “domestic terrorist group.” Even Hillary Clinton during the campaign said that his association with Ayers should raise eyebrows. Because he was one of theirs, the Chicago union thugs helped him get into the White House. He represents the ruling dynasty of these Chicago minions and is paying back their support with
political appointments in the form of czars that don’t answer to Congress.
He is a narcissist, and it has never occurred to him that he could possibly be wrong. He wields the presidential wand with reckless abandonment. Like Belshazzar, his linage is dubious at best. He either can’t or won’t issue his birth certificate that
proves he was born in the United States. He is only eligible to be president if he was born here. To hide his real identity, the day after his inauguration, he issued a presidential directive that all of his personal records were to be sealed.
He is ruling over a nation that is foreign to him, and he treats the citizens like they are the foreigners. Our country—not his country—is in serious trouble. While this nation is languishing in financial and spiritual turmoil, he fiddles while Rome burns. He demands that we sacrifice our future and happiness to meet his goals of messiahship . . . just because he says so. While his subjects are in dire straits, doing without jobs, food, and medicine, he is spending the national treasure on wining and dining other low–class aristocrats to try and improve his stature among world leaders. During 2009 alone, he wasted over $10 million on his lavish White House parties,entertaining the likes of Stevie Wonder and Paul McCartney. Somehow I don’t believe our founding fathers would approve of such a poor use of our tax money while at the same time lowering our international prestige.
Robin T. Lakoff, Ph.D., a linguistics professor and psychotherapist at Berkeley, known as “Robin of Berkeley,” has this to say about Obama: “Obama will not change. He will not learn from his mistakes. He will not grow and mature from on–the–job experience. In fact, over time, Obama will likely become a more ferocious version of who he is today. Why? Because this is a damaged person. Obama’s fate was sealed years ago growing up in his strange and poisonous family. Later on, his empty vessel was filled with the hateful bile of men like Rev. Wright and Bill Ayers. Obama will not evolve; he will not rise to the occasion; and he will not become the man he was meant to be. This is for one reason and one reason alone: He is not capable.”
However, the straw that broke the camel’s back was not the feasting and drinking in Babylon, but the blasphemous use of God’s treasures and the worship of strange gods. Nabonidus, Belshazzar’s father, worshipped several gods, one of which was Sin, the moon god. It was symbolized by a crescent moon.
Most certainly, the god of Belshazzar’s father would have been his god. And like Belshazzar, Barack Hussein Obama has a thing for those who worship the moon god. That would be those like unto his father, a known Muslim. Obama even said in his book, The Audacity of Hope, that if the winds shifted against the Muslims, he would side with the Muslims. Since most Muslim organizations such as Hamas have been declared terrorists and enemies of the United States, he is guilty of treason—aiding and abetting the enemy. In 2009 alone, his administration pledged
$900 million to the West Bank and Gaza, much of which surely ended up in the hands of Hamas.
In September 2009, Obama pledged $400,000 to Qaddafi’s Libyan charity run by the Qaddafi family—$200,000 would be given to his son’s charity and $200,000 would be given to his daughter’s charity. Libya is a sworn enemy of the United States.
Obama has consistently stated that he is not a Muslim, but a Christian. After all, he attended Rev. Wright’s church for over 20 years. That alone should prove that he is a Christian, right! However, in Muslim countries he is consistently referred to as a Muslim and at times has admitted the same. According to one source (www.vicmord.com), Victor Mordecai reported: “My wife Rachel, who monitors Arab language broadcasts for Israel Radio, picked up a revealing statement on the ‘Round Table Show’ on Egypt’s Nile TV. Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmed Abul Gheit said he had a one–on–one meeting with Obama, who told him that he was a Muslim, the son of a Muslim father and stepson of a Muslim stepfather, that his half–brothers in Kenya were Muslim, and that he was sympathetic to the Muslim agenda. He asked the Arabs to show patience. Obama promised that once he overcame some domestic American issues (like health care reform), he would show the Muslim world how he would deal with Israel.”
Qaddafi stated in a recent speech more than 10 times that Obama is a Muslim brother. The Muslim world believes that he is a Muslim, and I am inclined to believe them. While he refuses to observe “National Prayer Day,” he honors his Muslim friends by inviting them into the White House to celebrate Ramadan with a great feast with wine served in goblets paid for by American taxpayers, predominately Christians. This sacrilege included his own princes and concubines. The guest list also included a large number of Muslim leaders from around the world (http://latimesblogs.latimes.com).
While he refused to host a group of Christian pastors and leaders, he desecrated the house that Christians built. With these words he added insult to injury to the American Christian community: “Indeed, the contribution of Muslims to the United States are too long to catalog because Muslims are so interwoven into the fabric of our communities and our country. . . . So on this occasion, we celebrate the Holy Month of Ramadan, and we also celebrate how much Muslims have enriched America and its culture—in ways both large and small. And with us here tonight, we see just a small sample of those contributions.” While Obama continuously courts the sodomites, perhaps the most damaging thing that Obama is doing is his continuous bad treatment of Israel. He sides with the enemies of Israel while revoking our aid to our only friend and democracy in the Middle East. His recent treatment of Mr. Netanyahu is deplorable and will not go unnoticed by God. Obama is not presidential material and has shown his true colors in meetings with both Muslim and Israeli leaders as he boastfully shows contempt for God’s people and land.
Barack Hussein Obama has shown all of the shades of
Belshazzar. He has feasted and drank wine while the enemies approach the walls. He has replaced the God of Heaven with his loyalty pledged to others. Surely, the hand of God will soon reveal to Mr. Obama his future. God has been writing on the wall for some time now . . . and Obama has been found wanting.
That message might read as follows: “Barack Hussein Obama, you have been weighed in the balances and been found wanting. Your total disregard of Me and your complete disdain for My people have sealed your fate. Henceforth, your dreams of anarchy are finished.”
Who will he turn to? Is there a Daniel among us?

The recent article that Michael Hastings published in Rolling Stone Magazine about General Stanley McChrystal and his Senior Media Aid, Duncan Boothby is now history. So is the fact that President Obama accepted McChrystal’s letter of resignation, and replaced him with General David Petraeus.
But what are the “missing pieces” of this puzzle?
General Stanley McChrystal is no dummy. A graduate of the U.S. Military Academy in West Point, New York, and a son of Major General Herbert J. Mc Chrystal, he is a very perceptive, wise, shrewd and keen strategist, not likely to be duped by a liberal writer from Rolling Stone.
General McChrystal was the commander of “the most secretive force in the U.S. military”, the Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC). Under his command the JSOC captured Saddam Hussein in 2003 and his forces were responsible for the death of Abu Musab-Zarqawi, leader of Al-Qaeda in Iraq.
No, an obscure writer from a far-left magazine did not out-smart General McChrystal. He allowed his statements to be made public for a reason.
So what is behind this?
Much, much, more.
It is no secret that most members of the U.S. military have a great disdain and contempt for Obama and many of the namby-pamby government civilian workers in Washington, D.C. And it is not just the “grunts” who despise these elites. The contempt and insolence runs all the way to the top, and most U.S. citizens feel the same way.
McChrystal has made a very clear and powerful statement. And he did it on purpose. He has let the world know that men who are warriors and daring fighters, deeply loathe the pathetic superiors they are forced to serve. Imagine having as our Commander in Chief a man who has never held down a job. Imagine having to answer to someone who would rather court martial you for killing or torturing the enemy on a battlefield, rather than pinning a medal of honor on your chest.
Split-second decisions are needed on the front lines of battle. If you have to worry about being called back home to face trial, that split-second of hesitation could mean your death or the death of a comrade. The normal pressures of war are enough. Our valiant and courageous troops should not have to have the added burden of facing a liberal lawyer back in the states.
McChrystal has sent a very clear message to those of us who are still able to think for ourselves and can read between the lines. He did not make a mistake; he did it to awaken America to the fact that our President is weakening our nation on purpose. The General has drawn a line in the sand, and his refusal to cow-tow to a wicked administration is one of the most heroic acts of our time. History will prove him to be a champion, which he certainly is.

The General still runs 7-8 miles a day, eats one meal a day, and sleeps four hours a night!

CIVIL WAR IN THE SOUTHWEST!

For several months I have been predicting that we will be at war on our own soil with riff-raff that are coming up from Mexico. Now it is a reality.

This morning FOX television interviewed Sheriff Paul Babeu in Arizona who disclosed shocking news: Armed illegals have occupied several key locations on U.S. soil. The sheriff informed America that he does not have enough man-power to dislodge them. He told the FEDS that he will need at least 3,000 soldiers to kill/capture these rats who are nesting three counties north of the U.S./Mexican border. Yes, they are armed and have already killed some of his deputies!

Aren't you so glad that these people live off of your tax dollars: Free housing, free food, free medical, free schooling, and free protection from the Federal government?

How long do you think it will take Obama to respond? It is more than 60 days since the Gulf Oil Spill, and he is still appealing to tourists to "go lay on the beaches down there". You can bet your booties that his family will not be seen bathing in those waters or lying on the oil-soaked sand.

We voted this man in and he is destroying our country. Our only hope is to pray,pray, and pray some more. Use all the spiritual weapons available to us in Psalm 149. We do have the power through God to make life miserable for our wicked leaders.

We are not just advocating prayer. We are actually praying on our knees every Sunday night here in Warsaw, Indiana. Old-fashioned prayer meetings are so "out of style" today for user-friendly churches. Some first-time visitors barely know what to do when we say, "Let's pray now." Most folks never come back because real prayer meetings are so foreign to the shallow, plastic American Christian.

Did you read about the rats, flies, bees, and thunder storm so terrific that our President had to dismiss the crowd he was trying to address?

By now almost everyone knows that a thirteen-story mosque is being built at the former site of the World Trade Centers. I verified this information through a friend who lives in NYC. Not only is it being built, but the Islamists plan to dedicate their building on 9/11 2011, exactly ten years to the day when muslims attacked and murdered more than 3,000 innocent American citizens.

About the same time that my friend emailed me, our President appointed three muslims to Homeland Security.

Have we gone insane?

Would any farmer place three foxes in the hen house, turn them loose, and expect that they would be good protectors of the hens?

Most people do not know that something is written on the Dome of the Rock that sits on the Temple Mount.

It is the ultimate blasphemy!

And it is a quote from the Koran: 4:171; 19:29; 17:111; and 10:68.

Translated into English from Arabic:

Jesus told us in two places, "The day is coming when you will see the sacrilegious object (the abomination of desolation) standing in the Holy Place (reader, pay attention!)" Mt. 24:15; Mark 13:14.

Many of us have not "PAID ATTENTION".

The Dome of the Rock was erected on the Temple Mount by the Muslim ruler Abd el-Malik in 688.

The Arabic inscription and the Dome has been there for 1,322 years!

No wonder Jesus told us to "PAY ATTENTION".

The first and second Jewish Temples were both destroyed on the same date, Tisha b'Av (the 9th of Av).

This year, 2010, Tisha b'Av will fall on July 19.

"Av" is the only month not mentioned in the Bible.

Dear friends around the world,
In the wake of Israel's interception of a flotilla of ships and activists bent on lifting
Israel’s blockade of the Hamas regime, a regime whose charter, rhetoric and behavior
are all aimed at Israel’s destruction, we find ourselves yet again in the center of a
perfect media storm.
We are sure that you, like us, are frustrated with the situation. The simplistic images and
narratives that appear in the media do not reflect the complex facts on the ground in
Israel or in Gaza. Few media outlets discuss Israel’s position that the blockade is based
on the Hamas regime’s refusal to end its state of war against our country, and fewer still
have shown the chilling footage available on the Internet of the Gaza-bound activists on
one of the flotilla’s ships beating, stabbing, lobbing firebombs toward and even
throwing overboard IDF troops sent to enforce the blockade on Hamas. Nor do these
outlets note the fact that Israel sends 15,000 tons of goods and supplies into Gaza each
week, a figure that makes the flotilla’s cargo a mere drop in the ocean. For all the
discussion of a terrible “humanitarian crisis,” there is no hunger in Gaza, no starved
children and no famine deaths. There is only tyranny, extremism and endless war
sustained by the brutal rule of Hamas.
We know that you, in the Diaspora Jewish communities, often feel that Israel fails to
present these facts adequately, and that Israel’s bad image is projected onto you. We
also know that Diaspora Jews are passionate defenders of Israel in its darkest hours.
Therefore we say that this is not the time to talk about what should have been done.
This is the time to act!
You too can take part in Israel’s public diplomacy, in showing clearly that while Israel
may make mistakes, it is Hamas, Iran and other enemies who are perpetuating the war
and thriving from the bloodshed they instigate.
In response to the calls to isolate Israel and the efforts to place all responsibility for the
violence on our soldiers, we must offer substantive and clear answers, including the
reason that the flotilla was intercepted and the need to continue to prevent open shipping
lines to the vicious tyrants of Hamas.
Some important talking points:
1. The Palestinian people are not under blockade. In the West Bank, Israel has worked
hard in the past year to bring prosperity and lay the foundations for peace. Most of the
roadblocks are down and the West Bank’s economy is now one of the fastest-growing in
the world. There is only one reason that the blockade was instituted: to prevent the
rearming of the brutal tyrants of Hamas, who would use those arms against Israeli
civilians and their own people.

2. Civilians on the flotilla were cynically exploited by extremist organizations. Five
ships did not act with violence toward the soldiers, and were peacefully brought to
port. Only the ship that had planned in advance to brutally attack the soldiers and
endanger their lives were, in turn met with deadly force.
3. There are ways to help the residents of Gaza that do not also help the Iran-backed
Hamas regime and terror organizations in the Gaza Strip. Supplies can be donated to
UN agencies, for example. But Israel cannot allow open supply routes for war materials
into Gaza.
We urge you to share videos, photographs and articles about Israel’s complex situation
with your friends and family around the world. Write letters to your local newspapers,
comment on blogs and news websites, call in to radio programs and post links to social
networking sites, to help spread the real version of events. The more knowledge people
acquire, the more accurately Israel’s position is represented.
Let us be clear. We are not asking for blind support for the government’s position. Even
within Israel there is criticism over the handling of the flotilla operation and the policy
that led to it. We are a country that cherishes as our highest ideal the freedom to speak
one’s mind and criticize. We are however, asking for help against the effort to
delegitimize and dehumanize our country, an effort led by those who would deny us our
very right to exist. The flotilla was a political act, not a humanitarian one and the
ultimate goal of those who choose violence is not peace, but our destruction.
