RACIAL TENSION

A few days ago a black friend of mine and I had a very heart-to-heart talk about the current racial tension in the U.S.  He told me that he and his family have been hurt countless times over the years.  This really touched my heart in very deep ways and I told him that I was eager to listen to everything he had to say.  We talked for quite a long time.
73% of black children born in the United States do not have fathers.



There were a number of things he said that deeply troubled me.  But I think the thing that bothered me the most, was when he said that his closest white friends have never broached the racial subject with him.

Silence separates, and is itself a racial statement. 

Most white people think that by not bringing up the subject they are "being kind" to their black friends.  Many black people would really like to know that we care enough to bring it up and discuss it. 

So after we talked I sent him this email:

Yes, I agree to pray with you about the horrible racial issue in our nation.
I'm sure that you and your precious family have been emotionally hurt repeatedly
by many people and in many circumstances of life.
I'm sorry that you have not been able to discuss these deep issues with even your
"closest" white friends. This, in itself is a travesty, because many folks do not realize that silence
is a separator.
I told you just one incident how I was hurt deeply by a "Christian" friend.
If you ever just need to talk to someone about your hurts let me know.
I have lived in Africa and I have lived in Haiti. Many, many people in both places are
some of my dearest friends. I have lived in their homes, eaten with them, worshiped with them, prayed with them, and wept with them, and they with me. In the early days of my ministry I was kicked out of a church in Flint, Michigan because I brought black teenagers to the church building. I was so naive as to think that Jesus died for all mankind, exactly like John 3:16 tells us. :) 
And, on the other end of the spectrum my life was threatened in Flint and Detroit by angry young black men, who never had a stay-at-home father. One night when I was out witnessing two thugs robbed me and I was almost stabbed. I kept telling them, "Jesus loves you so much." Actually, one of them almost broke down and wept as I gave them all my money and the watch that my deceased father-in-law from Haiti had given me. The last thing they heard as they ran down the street was, "I love you anyway, and so does Jesus!" My hope is that somewhere along life's journey that tiny seed sown into their hearts took root.
And, truly, I do not even recognize "color" when I am abroad. I must admit, though, that
here in the U.S. I am affected by it. But we must all overcome, really overcome.If things were different, the two of us could sit in front of our congregation some Sunday morning and talk openly back and forth for the duration. However, my guess is that some folks would get very upset and it might cause more harm than good.

How a Miami School Crime Cover-Up Policy Led to Trayvon Martin’s Death

The February 2012 shooting death of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin might never have happened if school officials in Miami-Dade County had not instituted an unofficial policy of treating crimes as school disciplinary infractions. Revelations that emerged from an internal affairs investigation explain why Martin was not arrested when caught at school with stolen jewelry in October 2011 or with marijuana in February 2012. Instead, the teenager was suspended from school, the last time just days before he was shot dead by George Zimmerman.
Trayvon Martin was not from Sanford, the town north of Orlando where he was shot in 2012 and where a jury acquitted Zimmerman of murder charges Saturday. Martin was from Miami Gardens, more than 200 miles away, and had come to Sanford to stay with his father’s girlfriend Brandy Green at her home in the townhouse community where Zimmerman was in charge of the neighborhood watch. Trayvon was staying with Green after he had been suspended for the second time in six months from Krop High School in Miami-Dade County, where both his father, Tracy Martin, and mother, Sybrina Fulton, lived.
Both of Trayvon’s suspensions during his junior year at Krop High involved crimes that could have led to his prosecution as a juvenile offender. However, Chief Charles Hurley of the Miami-Dade School Police Department (MDSPD) in 2010 had implemented a policy that reduced the number of criiminal reports, manipulating statistics to create the appearance of a reduction in crime within the school system. Less than two weeks before Martin’s death, the school system commended Chief Hurley for “decreasing school-related juvenile delinquency by an impressive 60 percent for the last six months of 2011.” What was actually happening was that crimes were not being reported as crimes, but instead treated as disciplinary infractions.
In October 2011, after a video surveillance camera caught Martin writing graffiti on a door, MDSPD Office Darryl Dunn searched Martin’s backpack, looking for the marker he had used. Officer Dunn found 12 pieces of women’s jewelry and a man’s watch, along with a flathead screwdriver the officer described as a “burglary tool.” The jewelry and watch, which Martin claimed he had gotten from a friend he refused to name, matched a description of items stolen during the October 2011 burglary of a house on 204th Terrace, about a half-mile from the school. However, because of Chief Hurley’s policy “to lower the arrest rates,” as one MDSPD sergeant said in an internal investigation, the stolen jewerly was instead listed as “found property” and was never reported to Miami-Dade Police who were investigating the burglary. Similarly, in February 2012 when an MDSPD officer caught Martin with a small plastic bag containing marijuana residue, as well as a marijuana pipe, this was not treated as a crime, and instead Martin was suspended from school.
Either of those incidents could have put Trayvon Martin into the custody of the juvenile justice system. However, because of Chief Hurley’s attempt to reduce the school crime statistics — according to sworn testimony, officers were “basically told to lie and falsify” reports — Martin was never arrested. And if he had been arrested, he might never have been in Sanford the night of his fatal encounter with Zimmerman.
In fact, the reason Zimmerman was patrolling the townhouse community the night of the February 2012 shooting was that there had been a rash of burglaries in the neighborhood, although there was no indication that Trayvon Martin was involved in any of those crimes.
As for Chief Hurley’s policy, it was the controversy over Martin’s death that accidentally exposed it. In March 2012, the Miami Herald reported on Martin’s troubled history of disciplinary incidents at Krop High. Chief Hurley then launched the internal affairs investigation in an attempt to find out who had provided information to the reporter. During the course of that investigation, MDSPD officers and supervisors described Chief Hurley’s policy of not reporting crimes by students. Chief Hurley was subsequently accused of sexually harassing two female subordinates. He resigned in February, about a year after Trayvon Martin’s death.

but according to the press, he was "carrying a bag of groceries home" when Zimmerman attacked him.

And the White House is considering charges against a man who was just declared innocent by a jury in the United States of America. ?????

Hundreds and hundreds of "WHITE PEOPLE" are shot and attacked every year by Blacks.  Does it ever make the news like the Zimmerman/Martin trial?

And now New York Giants, football "STAR", Victor Cruz makes this declaration: "Zimmerman doesn't last a year before the hood catches up to him."

And the prosecution put a suit on Travon's father.  First time in his life?  Not one news article mentioned that he is the one who should be blamed for being the absentee "Father" of Trayvon Martin. 

What is an "absentee Father"?

This is a man who gets a woman pregnant and then vanishes.  The root cause of this entire story is that Trayvon did not have a Father who loved him, to raise him and nourish him and place in him a purpose for living.

More simply, in the vernacular, _____ a dead-beat dad!

So Trayvon ended up as an angry young man, on drugs, living a purposeless life.  He should have been back home that night doing his homework and gettng ready for class the next morning like normal teenagers.  What was he doing 200 miles from home on a school night?  (shhhhhhhhhh!  He had been kicked out of public school.)

Quote from Trayvon's Father:  "I am broken hearted!"
What you should be broken hearted about is that you abandoned your son.

Instead he is dead!

Now let's all blame Zimmerman or all us crackers who work and pay our taxes, so a circus like what took place in Sanford can be funded.  And now Zimmerman will have to hire bodyguards and be looking over his shoulder for the rest of his life because "The Hood" will be looking for him.  Nice!

So make sure that if someone attacks you, look carefully, and if he is black, just let him beat you to death.

I Too Have Become Disillusioned
This is a real article called " The Affirmative Action President" written by Matt Patterson, which appeared on the conservative opinion web site American Thinker on August 18, 2011.

Years from now, historians may regard the 2008 election of Barack Obama as an inscrutable and disturbing phenomenon, the result of a baffling breed of mass hysteria akin perhaps to the witch craze of the Middle Ages. How, they will wonder, did a man so devoid of professional accomplishment beguile so many into thinking he could manage the world's largest economy, direct the world's most powerful military, execute the world's most consequential job?
Imagine a future historian examining Obama's pre-presidential life: ushered into and through the Ivy League, despite unremarkable grades and test scores along the way; a cushy non-job as a "community organizer;" a brief career as a state legislator devoid of legislative achievement (and in fact nearly devoid of his attention, less often did he vote "present"); and finally an unaccomplished single term in the United States Senate, the entirety of which was devoted to his presidential ambitions.
He left no academic legacy in academia, authored no signature legislation as a legislator. And then there is the matter of his troubling associations: thewhite-hating, America-loathing preacher who for decades served as Obama's "spiritual mentor;" a real-life, actual terrorist who served as Obama's colleague and political sponsor. It is easy to imagine a future historian looking at it all and asking: how on Earth was such a man elected president?
Not content to wait for history, the incomparable Norman Podhoretz (* see below) addressed the question recently in the Wall Street Journal: To be sure, no white candidate who had close associations with an outspoken hater of America like Jeremiah Wright and an unrepentant terrorist like Bill Ayers, would have lasted a single day. But because Mr. Obama was black, and therefore entitled in the eyes of liberal Dom to have hung out with protesters against various American injustices, even if they were 'a bit' extreme, he was given a pass. Let that sink in: Obama was given a pass - held to a lower standard - because of the color of his skin.
Podhoretz continues: And in any case, what did such ancient history matter when he was also so articulate and elegant and (as he himself had said) "non-threatening," all of which gave him a fighting chance to become the first black president and thereby to lay the curse of racism to rest?
Podhoretz puts his finger, I think, on the animating pulse of the Obama phenomenon - affirmative action. Not in the legal sense, of course. But certainly in the motivating sentiment behind all affirmative action laws and regulations, which are designed primarily to make white people, and especially white liberals, feel good about themselves.
Unfortunately, minorities often suffer so that whites can pat themselves on the back. Liberals routinely admit minorities to schools for which they are not qualified, yet take no responsibility for the inevitable poor performance and high drop-out rates which follow. Liberals don't care if these minority students fail; liberals aren't around to witness the emotional devastation and deflated self-esteem resulting from the racist policy that is affirmative action. Yes,racist. Holding someone to a separate standard merely because of the color of his skin - that's affirmative action in a nutshell, and if that isn't racism, then nothing is.
And that is what America did to Obama. True, Obama himself was never troubled by his lack of achievements, but why would he be? As many have noted, Obama was told he was good enough for Columbia despite undistinguished grades at Occidental; he was told he was good enough for the US Senate despite a mediocre record in Illinois; he was told he was good enough to be president despite no record at all in the Senate. All his life, every step of the way, Obama was told he was good enough for the next step, in spite of ample evidence to the contrary.
What could this breed if not the sort of empty narcissism on display every time Obama speaks? In 2008, many who agreed that he lacked executive qualifications nonetheless raved about Obama's oratory skills, intellect, and cool character. Those people – conservatives included - ought now to be deeply embarrassed.
The man thinks and speaks in the hoariest of clichés, and that's when he has his Teleprompters in front of him; when the prompter is absent he can barely think or speak at all. Not one original idea has ever issued from his mouth -
it's all warmed-over Marxism of the kind that has failed over and over again for 100 years. (An example is his 2012 campaign speeches which are almost word for word his 2008 speeches)
And what about his character? Obama is constantly blaming anything and everything else for his troubles. Bush did it; it was bad luck; I inherited this mess. Remember, he wanted the job, campaigned for the task. It is embarrassing to see a president so willing to advertise his own powerlessness, so comfortable with his own incompetence. (The other day he actually came out and said no one could have done anything to get our economy and country back on track). But really, what were we to expect? The man has never been responsible for anything, so how do we expect him to act responsibly?
In short: our president is a small-minded man, with neither the temperament nor the intellect to handle his job. When you understand that, and only when you understand that, will the current erosion of liberty and prosperity make sense. It could not have gone otherwise with such an impostor in the Oval Office.

8.  Yes!  The hour is late.  And . . . yes, many peoples' eyes are blind.  It is our privilege to share the TRUTH during these last days.  We won't get another chance to tell the people the good news about Jesus after the rapture.

Lunar eclipses occur when Earth's shadow blocks the sun’s light, which otherwise reflects off the moon. There are three types — total, partial and penumbral — with the most dramatic being a total lunar eclipse, in which Earth’s shadow completely covers the moon.
The last lunar eclipse  was on May 25, 2013. The next lunar eclipse is on Oct. 18, 2013. It will be a penumbral eclipse. Eastern Canada will see the entire event while the rest of Canada and the United States will see moonrise with the eclipse already in progress. Observers in Europe and Africa will also see the entire event, while eastern Asia will miss the end because of moonset.
Throughout history, eclipses have inspired awe and even fear, especially when total lunar eclipses turned the moon blood-red, an effect that terrified people who had no understanding of what causes an eclipse and therefore blamed the events on this god or that.

A little history lesson for the uninformed TV/news-watchers in the U.S.:

HOW TO STOP ISLAMIC TERRORISTS...... it worked once in our History...
Once in U.S. history an episode of Islamic terrorism was very quickly stopped. It happened in the Philippines about 1911, when Gen. John J. Pershing was in command of the garrison. There had been numerous Islamic terrorist attacks, so "Black Jack" told his boys to catch the perps and teach them a lesson.
Forced to dig their own graves, the terrorists were all tied to posts, execution style. The U.S. soldiers then brought in pigs and slaughtered them, rubbing their bullets in the blood and fat. Thus, the terrorists were terrorized; they saw that they would be contaminated with hogs' blood. This would mean that they could not enter Heaven, even if they died as terrorist martyrs.
All but one was shot, their bodies dumped into the grave, and the hog guts dumped atop the bodies. The lone survivor was allowed to escape back to the terrorist camp and tell his brethren what happened to the others. This brought a stop to Muslim terrorism in the Philippines for the next 50 years. :)

Few people realize that we are today living through the largest persecution of Christians in history, worse even than the famous attacks under ancient Roman emperors like Diocletian and Nero. Estimates of the numbers of Christians under assault range from 100-200 million. According to one estimate, a Christian is martyred every five minutes. And most of this persecution is taking place at the hands of Muslims. Of the top fifty countries persecuting Christians, forty-two have either a Muslim majority or have sizeable Muslim populations.

                   If we have ever needed to pray for our nation it is now!

Lurking within the borders of our nation are thousands of people like the Boston Tsarnaev brothers, who, among others, blew to smithereens Martin Richard, an innocent eight-year-old child.  I warned America about this Islam threat eight years ago in a brochure entitled “When Silence is not Golden”.

Finally . . . a few people are beginning to wake up.

And then we have Kermit Gosnell, the “doctor” in Philadelphia who murdered 6,000 children.  If you have not seen the Fox News video entitled, “See No Evil: The Kermit Gosnell Case”, you must see it.  Do not only see it for yourself, but purchase it and show it in your community like we are doing.

If we do not do something about these 682 Horror Houses operating in the U.S., then God will bring great judgment to our land.  One prominent leader has pointed out that when we shed innocent blood God will dole out an equal amount of blood.  So far we have slaughtered 55 million innocent children!  My two friends, Adoniram Yoder and Bob Hdorek did the math for me.  These numbers equal the total population of America’s 82 largest cities!

A mother’s womb is supposed to be a safe home for a baby!

How is it possible for it to be moral to kill a child inside the womb, but immoral to kill him outside the womb? 

Is there really any difference?

Is it moral to murder someone inside his house, but immoral to murder him when he is outside in his yard? 

But the liberals refer to a baby as a “fetus”, not a real human being.  God’s Word tells us that a human being exists from the moment of conception (Psalm 22:10; Is. 44:2, 24; Jer.1:5)!

Almost fifty years ago Primrose and I made a covenant with the people in Haiti that we would help the mission that was started by her father.  By God’s grace, Full Life Crusade has continued to support the pastors and the 14 churches there.

Last month Lisa and Bryan (my daughter and son-in-law) led another team to our mission headquarters in Haiti.  As you know, each team carries clothing, medicine, and other needed items to the Haitians.

Full Life Crusade has also provided 6,480 nourishing meals this month for the orphan children in Haiti.  These precious children are so grateful and thankful for the food.  We hear many stories about parents who cannot feed their children every day.  There just isn’t enough food to go around in Haiti.

Some people eat once every three days!

Almost fifty years ago we promised God that if he provided the finances, we would send them on to the mission fields of the world.  He has kept his end of the bargain . . . and we at Full Life Crusade have kept ours.

We have been amazed all these years to see tens of thousands of Bibles printed in China, and the gospel going out to more than fifty nations of the world.

This past year FLC placed a thousand Audio Bibles in China and a thousand more in various countries.  Yes, the ministry has expanded way beyond our imagination.

A close friend of mine, Marty Friend, donated a website (FLC7.com) about 20 years ago.  This has become the most far-reaching ministry of anything we have ever done.  Anyone in the world with a computer can listen (free) to our teachings on this website, both audio and video.  Through the internet the gospel is going into countries that are “closed” to missionaries!

 In some of these countries FLC is also feeding people, helping with medical needs, and holding gospel crusades.  I have personally visited many of these nations myself.  And now my children and grandchildren are continuing the outreaches.

A few weeks ago my daughter, Heidi, visited Pastor Pradhan in India.  Primrose and I met him 38 years ago, way back in 1975, when we were in Darjeeling.  At that time he had six churches under his care.  God touched our hearts in such a deep way that we committed to helping him financially.  Currently, God has raised up more than 100 congregations through this man!

My two sons-in-law, Bryan Bartow and Bryan Koorey, made a trip to India a few years ago to preach in Pastor Pradhan’s churches and encourage him.  They were powerfully impacted by this modern Apostle of the Lord Jesus Christ.  It is impossible not to be changed after spending time with this meek and humble man who is reaching thousands with the gospel.

By supporting indigenous pastors in nations around the world many, many barriers are eliminated, and huge costs are eradicated.  They know the language and the culture.  They can eat the food and drink the water.  And they know the terrain.  In other words, they know their own people better than any missionary could ever know them.  And men like Pastor Pradhan can be supported at a fraction of the cost of sending an American abroad.  The price of sending an American missionary is $50,000.00 a year!  And no matter how good he is . . . he will always be an “outsider”.

A few days ago Kenny Chivington called me and we made an appointment to have breakfast together.  He is a missionary to Africa.  I love it when missionaries stop by to update me face-to-face.  I cannot tell you all of the stories he told me in this four-page newsletter.  But I will share one very, very exciting bit of information.

We sent audio Bibles to an African city just a few months ago.  Three years ago this city was 90% Muslim.  Today it is 90% Christian!

This was God’s power working in the hearts of the people.  Here are the details:

The Muslims had two wells.  Water is at a premium there, so the Muslims sold the water by the bucket to those needing water.  The Christians drilled a well on their property and gave the water away to their neighbors.  Some of the folks were so thankful for the free water that they began attending the Christian church and . . . of course they ended up getting saved.  Then the Muslims got mad at the Christians and started doing bad things to them . . . really bad things.  Pretty soon one of the Muslims’ wells dried up and so they were only making half as many $$$ selling their water.  But they continued doing bad things to the Christians.  Well . . . pretty soon the second Muslim well dried up . . . and the Muslims were making Zero dollars selling water, because they had no water to sell. But they still needed water, so they started going to the only well in the city . . . the Christian well.  And even though they had done bad things to the Christians, the Christians gave the Muslims free water.  This made a huge impact on the Muslim people.  Well . . . pretty soon the Christian church had so many people that they needed more land so they could expand.  Because the Christians showed so much love to the Muslims (instead of hatred), the Muslims ended up giving four acres of land to the Christians so they could build a bigger church building . . . right next to the mosque!  Then the “Imam” in the Muslim mosque got saved.  So he now teaches in the Mosque on Friday . . . and then teaches in the Christian church on Saturday and Sunday.  And thousands of people are listening to our audio Bibles.  This week Kenny is picking up another box of audio Bibles to take to Africa. We give God praise for all of this.  It is only by his grace that we have been able to take the  good news about Jesus Christ to all these hungry people.

When I think back to 50 years ago when I was a high school teacher in Flint, Michigan, it absolutely amazes me.  I am so thankful that the Lord placed the seed in my heart to seek him with all my heart and try to discover his will for my life.
