Will Jesus really come back, or is this just some religious nonsense drummed up by the church crowd?
Do you actually believe that someone will invade our planet from outer space and then become the earth's President?
The human mind pretty much rejects such a scenario. In this day and age it is embarrassing to even suggest such a thing. People might laugh at you or ridicule you.
If the concept of Jesus' return was merely some Bible-thumper's doctrine we could throw the entire idea out of our minds. But for those who read and study the Scripture, the return of Jesus is crystal clear.
First, let's go directly to the words of Jesus: "I will come again!"
This seems to be a flat-out promise. Jesus himself said that he would return. That's a hard one to skip over. Jesus was certainly a truth-teller. How can we not believe John 14:2? He says it as plain as can be said, "I will come and get you, so that you will always be with me."
The next place in Scripture where we have this exact promise is in Acts 1:11. Just after Jesus ascended to heaven, the angels spoke to the disciples and said, "Jesus has been taken away from you into heaven. And someday, just as you saw him go, He will return!"
The return of Jesus is certain. He said it and the angels said it.
Then the Apostle Paul said it in 1Cor. 15:51-53: ". . . it will happen in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye."
When Jesus comes back again He will bring with him all the Christians who have died. Those who believe that Jesus died and was raised to life again will rise to meet him, too. We will be caught up in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air and remain with Him forever.
For those who know the Lord, this message of His return brings great comfort and encouragement.
For those who do not know the Lord this message is frightening.
Those who have this hope of Jesus' return live a different life-style from the world and the church crowd. It is a wonderful hope!
For those who don't know the Lord this thought is actually terrifying.
The next great event will be when the sky splits apart and every person on earth sees Jesus! At that time every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus is Lord, the literal Son of God.
For one thousand years Jesus will rule the earth while the Devil is locked up in the Bottomless Pit. During that time God will demonstrate to everyone what our planet could have been like. Streams and lakes will be crystal clear. Animals will be tame. A lamb will be able to lie down beside a lion. A child will be able to play with a rattlesnake. It will be one thousand years of joy as He and his people rule the earth.
At the end of the thousand years Satan will be loosed from the Bottomless Pit and, you guessed it, most of the humans on earth will once again follow him. At that point in time God Almighty will destroy both the heaven and the earth.
Then a new heaven and a new earth will be created. And all believers will live with Jesus forever.
I have skipped over some very, very exciting details in order to give an overview on this blog. But it is all in the Bible.
YES! Jesus is coming back. I expect Him to return in this generation.
Watch what takes place in Israel! Keep your eyes open.
